Any sport is better in person than on TV but hockey takes it to another level…especially if you can get seats by the glass. My first NHL game was almost 40 years ago to the day. Watched the LA Kings and the then Hartford Whalers skate to a 3-3 tie. Yes, I’m that old. This was when games ended in ties. It was also the pre Gretzky days when the Kings still wore purple and gold and were basically an afterthought in the LA sports landscape compared to the Dodgers, Lakers and Raiders.

ETA: NOTHING beats NHL playoff OT.
