Not sure the blue blood list is relevant anymore.... Michigan had to cheat like crazy, OSU had to buy a trophy, Note Dame is second fiddle to Indiana now, OU and Texas no longer can get over the hump and USC is backsliding as well as Nebraska ..

The list is an anachronistic relic of the past....

ND is considered a Blue Blood and they haven't won a title since Reagan was president

Bush 41 was president when Notre Dame won their last NC.

There are like 7 actual blue bloods that are based on nearly a century's worth of results.

What is the time period that determines who can and cannot be a blue blood?

I loathe nd but they’ve competed in every era, they played for titles pre world war, post world wars, pre segregation, post segregation. They played for natties in the poll era, they played for a natty in the bcs era, they went to four team playoff, and played for a natty in 12 team era. That’s literal blue blood definition, no matter what changes in cfb they compete.

they are very close imo. Blue Bloods are usually considered due to wins imo . Everyone who has a shite ton of wins and national titles combined are bluebloods

Michigan was down worse than any of those teams and won a title. The blue bloods are not going away. Even Nebraska will come back eventually.

By what metric are they "awfully close"?

Yea..um..OU is above LSU and Georgia historically. I think the only team in the SEC that is above OU is Alabama.

I don't think anyone other than that one uga fan earlier would claim we are above OU

Under no scenario whatsoever does OU take a backseat to Texas, LSU, or UGA.

A strong case can be made for Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia.

LSU and Georgia have insanely similar histories. In fact, UGA just eclipsed LSU in a lot of categories in the last 5 years.

Head to Head:
LSU up 18-14-1

All time record:
UGA - .669
LSU - .644

National Titles:
UGA - 3 (or 4)
LSU - 4 (or 5)

Conference Titles:
UGA - 17
LSU - 16

Bowl Games:
UGA - 64
LSU - 58

Consensus All Americans:
UGA - 42
LSU - 43

Heisman Winners:
UGA - 2
LSU - 3

First Round Draft Picks:
UGA - 53
LSU - 54

NFL Draft Picks:
UGA - 400
LSU - 395

Weeks in AP Poll:
UGA - 696
LSU - 685

They didn't win, they cheated on a massive scale and the NCAA let them... I have no respect for that title.
