Btw you are a Tenn grad and LSU fan. Why is the have a picture of Ole Miss as your team logo?Or are you representing all the places Lane was HFC? You should add Southern Cal too then.

How it's been since integration for charter SEC members:
1. Bama (obviously far and away #1)
2. UGA (passed us up in the past 3-4 years)
3. UF
4. LSU
5. Auburn
6. Vols

I think the term “blue blood” carries a mystique with it that goes beyond just results on the field - although those matter a lot. It’s a big deal for anyone to play and/or beat them even in years when they’re down.
My list:
Alabama
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Michigan
USC
Oklahoma
Texas
Nebraska may have been on there at one time, but they have been out of the picture a while and Lincoln, Nebraska, is 400-500 miles from the nearest Top 20 media market. Combine the two and no one gives a shite anymore.

These are both good lists

UGA isn't a blue blood and I am happy with that. We aren't snobby blue bloods, we're just a very very good football program currently on a very nice run. We are firmly in the tier just under 'blue blood' and that's a great place to be, imo. Frick the 'blue bloods.'
The more interesting conversation is whether Georgia has moved into #2 best SEC team of all time.

FWIW, here is my all-time SEC ranking of the traditional SEC teams (and I admit it's just mine and not worth much):
1. Alabama
2. TIE - LSU and Georgia
4. Tennessee
5. TIE - Auburn and Florida
7. Ole Miss
8. Kentucky
9. Mississippi State
10. Vanderbilt
Add in all of the current SEC teams and it looks like this:

2. Texas
3. TIE - LSU and Georgia
5. Oklahoma
6. Tennessee
7. TIE - Auburn and Florida
9. Texas aTm
10. Arkansas
11. Ole Miss
12. South Carolina
13. Kentucky
14. Missouri
15. Mississippi State
16. Vanderbilt
