Colorado transfer CB Colton Hood for the Vols was just named the SEC's defensive player of the week:
Secondary still stacked McCoy and Gibson out for Syracuse

I actually want to know what people thought about Tennessee on Saturday.
A convincing win over a bad ACC team at home. Good week 1 performance but means little until we see how the Vols matchup in SEC play.

Votes starting to pile in. Rankings are pretty clear so far.

Aguilar looked good - much better than expected. Heupel has done a great job with him - and overall.
Defense looked softer than expected. Syracuse kept hanging around - longer than they should’ve.

can understand the Bama drop, but some of y'all are acting like Texas is a pile of garage because they damn near beat Ohio State? Texas is still in my top 3, at #3. I think they are better than everyone except my top two.
They are gonna have to go with Manning, QB's don't develop on the bench. That's a hell of a game to break in a new QB.
How exactly do you want people to react? Do you want everyone to think texas is on the brink of a national title after that game?

Honestly I think our defense could be better.
Joey still needs some work.
We are still getting too many penalties.
Running backs looked great!
Receivers need to catch better too many dropped passes
I give us a B overall
But Ga will tell us soon enough how good or bad we are.

Voted.
LSU is at the top of the heap, for now, imho.
Bama has fallen on hard times.

Offense looked pretty good. Syracuse was 11th ranked D in ACC last year so not sure how much better they are this year. They had 24 first downs and avg ypp was 4.5. First game y’all can build on for sure.

Auburn looked good
Until they run up on a run stopping D. Still not sold on Arnold. He took a lot of shots running the ball. Can he hold up for 11 more games doing that? Time will tell.

Voted, but no clue beyond top couple. Georgia and LSU look playoff bound.
Some teams (Hogs included) looked great but against cupcakes. Some teams (Auburn) looked good in phases, but still have question marks. Some (Texas/Bama) completely shite the bed but against potential playoff teams. Injuries (Missouri) may impact upcoming games.
Gonna be a wild year.

Talking in the UNC-TCU broadcast Fowler says he didn’t rank Alabama. Would be the first poll since 2007 they weren’t ranked if that comes to fruition
