He is at a no stress job because of his level of success he has had.

Going to 7 CWS appearances makes the job easier to deal with. He has never had to be in a tough spot like Bianco and win enough to save his job.

Plus he has some of the best facilities in the country now and his recruiting classes are the some of the best he’s had. Why leave everything he’s worked for when it’s at its peak? Or reaching its peak.

Hard to say but the more CWS appearances you make the better chances you win one each year.

DVH would have had made five CWS appearances in a row if it wasn't for covid and one bad inning against NC State.

Ask Mike Martin about all of those CWS appearances and his chances for a title. I think DVH is a great coach but some coaches just don’t have the magic.

That's all great, but can he win with them? He won with other talent.

I understand Ole Miss has very limited experience in Omaha, but Omaha residents are literally LSU fans because our fan presence there.

Good try tho.

I hope there’s quite a few still around from 2006.

Those Omaha residents you speak of are dying off. It is sad, the few holding on still think Skip is the coach.

Your baseball stadium is named after a coach Ole Miss fired, that's as lil brother as it comes.

Pure coaching?

1. Schloss for all the reasons you listed
2. Johnson due to his history
3. Lemonis did well at Indiana (Indiana!) and has a ring. Would be higher, but really sucked last year
4. I guess Bianco, by default, since he has a ring. He's been pretty consistent, but has had a lot of fails. A lucky run last year brings him from 7th to 4th on this list.
5. Thompson
6. Van Horn - Like Bianco, but without a ring.
7. That last guy. Not really relevant.

1) Schloss only thing keeping him from being here is no ring.
2)Johnson can't get on the history thing. Look at his numbers, in his 5 years, Arizona was around the 5th best team in the conference. Over all wins and conference wins are Bianco like. He missed regionals twice in 5 years at Arizona. Without a ring he is under Bianco.
3- Lemonis- To early in his career. Came out at state on fire, but his knock is he won with another coaches players. Last year was bad. 9-21 in conference, in 3 years. Bianco in 21 worse year had 13 conference wins.
4-Bianco- the knock on Bianco is the lack of Omaha appearances. He is in the top 3 in wins in sec, tons of other accolades. Winning the title locked him in at no less than 3, coming off the title he is 1. Deal with it.
5-thompson good but has some bad years. Not better than van horn.
6- Van would be 1 if he had a ring plain and simple. dude is a great coach.

So you paid a coach, gave players scholarships, and built a stadium....But you didn't care? classic excuse..

State did that in Football for about 5 decades. Just saying.

Come on, Insurancerebel. Chris Lemonis at #4 shows a bit of rivalry bias on your part.

Now your Rebs deserve their accolades for winning it last year. They played outstanding when it counted and brought another CWS trophy back to the state. As a State alumni, lifelong fan and baseball fan, I acknowledge it.
But to argue that Lemonis doesn't deserve his spot in the top 3, based on previous recruiting prior to his arrival, is stupid. That's like saying the Ole Miss 2021, 10-3 football team owes nothing to Lane Kiffin for coaching them to that record.

How many people on your list - outside Bianco and Lemonis - have won a CWS title while coaching their current SEC team?
