DVH as of now is one of the top leaders in overall wins.

Don't forget how bad Arkansas baseball was in the 90s and look where they are now.

Two different coaches in two different eras.

I can say that looking at the history of Mike Martin and his path to the CWS, his challenges was easier than what DVH has faced or will face in the future.

How many people on your list - outside Bianco and Lemonis - have won a CWS title while coaching their current SEC team?

It was tricky, have to tip your hat to longevity of the two ahead of Lemonis, and the ring got him ahead of Johnson.

The 9 wins in conference in 22 ultimately and sample size dropped him to 4th.

At the end of the day 1-3 will be in the college hall of fame, have stadiums named after them etc, 4 and 5 are younger. 15 years from now they very likely will have jumped these guys if they continue to do what they are doing now.

Great thought went into this reasoning.

Darn, tough group even #6 coach has 2 CWS appearances in the past few years.

A lean decade compared to the 80s. Arkansas last CWS appearance was in 89 and the drought lasted until 04.

Because baseball threads on here are, traditionally, more level-headed. Everyone knows Schloss is one of the best coaches in the country, not only for how great he was at TCU but also him taking a patchwork team not expected to compete to Omaha last year was an amazing job by him. The dude knows what he's doing.

1) Mike Bianco-

Not sure I would agree with this ranking. But glad to see Ole Miss fans are back on the Bianco train.

Yet we have won the West and been to Atlanta. Ya'll just printed a fake banner in '03 and have a lot of wishful thinking..

At the end of the day I think it’s six really good coaches that are somewhat interchangeable and then Brad Bohannon. Who I don’t think is a terrible coach. But Bama can’t come close to comparing to what the other six schools have done in recent years.

Butch is super underrated. I think the world of that guy, both as a coach and a person.

You are right. Man I miss the days when going 8-5 with 1 win over a ranked team got you to Atlanta.

His work at TCU is hard to deny. You got screwed with Jimbo, but hit a homerun with Schloss. Really glad he told MSU to f off.

Lort that is bringing up stuff from the 20th century.

Might as well count sec championships and sugar bowls and national championships in the 50 and 60's.

Well I was in high school in the 90's, went to SEC championship and final four, kinda feels like it wasn't that long ago.. Guessing since you prob weren't born then it's hard to comprehend..

Wow there are a lot of great coaches in the SEC. And that's just the West, not even counting two NC-winning coaches in the East.
