Bama has an undefeated (2 if you go wayyy back) that they don’t claim.

Also, they were screwed multiple times by sportswriters in the 60’s-70’s out of Titles:
- Notre Dame leap frogging #3 Bama when Bama had just beaten #1 and #2 lost in their respective Bowl Game, and yet ND at #5 was voted National Champions (also had an inferior record compared to Bama).

There are 2-3 more examples just like those where Northern Sportswriters put ND/Penn St/etc ahead of Bama in the final poll out of spite (especially when it came to ever letting them win 3 Natties in a row).

I agree, Bama needs to scrap the claim to the 1941 Title bc they lost twice in the same season.

They should drop 1941, and claim some of the undefeated seasons instead.

That 1941 two-loss team is the one that is used to propagate the myth that Bama claims so many Titles they don’t deserve.

When in fact, they should legitimately have 3 more that are indisputable.

When you are the only undefeated team then you should be voted National Champions in the “Poll-Era” imo.

You lost to an ACC team twice for a natty. Yikes!

So, Bama has appeared in the game 3x as many times as Georgia. they've won it more than 2x as many times as Georgia.
Bama has a 78% winning percentage in the championship game.
Georgia has a 67% winning percentage in the championship game.
