Looking at Warren Nolan, our Q1 W-L is not very impressive.
8-6 against Q1 is indeed lackluster

these silly rankings don't matter. The only "ranking" that matters is the selection committee's at the end of the year, which will decide what regional we go to, and if we get to host.

This logic is fine before April, but now the rankings, though not exact, can be considered a rough proxy for how the pundits (including the committee) perceive you
Yea we still need to get Sunday figured out, but pitching on the whole being the strength of this team so far is actually quite reassuring.

We know the talent is there in the lineup. This must be the week where they wake up and put the two pieces together
Tennessee lost a home series to Kentucky. We’re not the only ones fighting it right now

He’s not the first person to ever need a mental reset after entering a porta potty in Lafourche Parish

Alot. LSU IS really bad on the road vs any team, does not matter if in sec or not. Lsu did horrible vs a mid conference type team in Auburn and 10 sec wins will not get u to supers. 10 sec wins will get you to the sec tournament tho so I guess that's good news. Was Nate yeskie the only guy that wanted to come to Lsu and be pitching coach ? And what about the hitting coach as well and their strength and conditioning coach as well. To have the number 1 class 4 yrs in a row and have this kind of showing to be ranked number 9 and already have 6 losses half way thru season is pretty bad coaching

Absolute banger for post #1500

One Louisiana lawmaker has put forward a bill this this week that looks to put an end to LSU football games being played during the day prior to the month of October. Every home game, through the month of September, should start at 6 p.m. or later, Rep. John "Big John" Illg, Jr. proposed in HCR13.

quote:

Ilgg's bill points to "health and safety reasons related to the heat during day games" as the inspiration for the legislation. "Due to the often extreme heat of September in this state and in the interest of protecting the health and safety of players, coaches, staff, and fans, it is appropriate that the Southeastern Conference take measures necessary to schedule September football games in the evening," Illg's bill reads.

Why would we not want to win the SEC

We do, but goalpost shifting is a tRant tradition as old as time when the team is underperforming

-“That’s baseball”
-“You expect lulls in a long season”
-“It’s almost like hitting is hard”
-“Maybe Auburn is just good”
-“We always play down to Auburn”
-“It was cold last weekend”
-“We are still way better than last year”
-“We’re tired”
-“Lack of leadership”

And the ever-popular ad hominems:

-“Is this your first baseball season?”
-“You just don’t know baseball.”

Feel free to add to this timeless collection
That’s what happens when you go down early and forget your approach. We had it figured out against NDSU and Nebraska but for some reason have forgotten it this weekend. Double digit fly ball outs is a gift to what is a rather middle-of-the-road Auburn pitching staff
