If this State team loses 4 games then Moorhead and staff should be fired immediately. State has a top 5 team in 2018

They are so setting them up to fail. Head coach must be cringing

"There are some people who say, 'we don't want to be ranked high in the preseason.' You know, I want to be first, and it's certainly with the roster that we have, the coaches, and the plan we put in place. Our goal and expectation is to compete for and win the SEC Championship. No one's going to have higher expectations than us."

That's a "bit" bold.
SEC West is stacked this year. 5th place will be a really good team. Hell, if Ole Miss has a pulse on defense, the 6th place team may be really good.
Arkansas is the only team we can completely write off, and even they will be pretty good.

LSU is 7-5 team at best this year. Their Spring Game looked "Croomish"
A&M will still be soft- Jimbo or not.
OM D will be SWAC level
Arkansas just isnt very good.

I think you're wrong. LSU is still talented, and they were playing like a top 15 or 20 type team at the end of the year. Yeah, they lost a lot, but they kept Arranda and will have a very tough D. Offense can't be worse.
Jimbo is an upgrade from Sumlin. He just is. Talent was not their issue. They may be that 5th place team, but they won't be an easy out.
I caveated OM with an "if", and I stand by it. You're probably right, but IF they somehow get better on D, they will be a hard out. That offense will be legit.
I already said Arkansas was bad, so not sure what you're arguing there.
Mainly, we disagree on LSU and A&M. I think both will be pretty good this year.

If MSU has a big year and makes the playoffs, you can kiss your cowbells goodbye. Once you get yourself in the spotlight, you have to take all the shite that goes along with it. And teams will pressure the SEC to make them stop or pay a stiff financial penalty.

First off, no, the cowbells won't go away.
Second, even if that were the case, is this supposed to be a threat or something? "Y'all better not be good or you'll lose your cowbells!" Dang..lemme rethink whether I want us to have a playoff run this year...

We're not losing 4 games this year.

Yeah, and we were "close" to beating Bama and Ole Miss which would've put us 11-2. All teams have a few close games each year. I mean Bama was close to going 10-4. Georgia "could" have lost 4 games. Damn you Arkansas fans are melting like hell over State's preseason rankings.

Not melting, simply discussing. It's a message board. I don't understand the hype and am pointing out that your on field performance last season doesn't necessarily justify being compared to the top of the league. Especially considering your coach was hired away and therefore forced you to make a hire.

Vegas disagrees.... So a few host pick MSU to stimulate conversation.
Here’s how Bovada set the odds for winning the SEC championship:
Alabama: 5/7
Georgia: 13/4
Auburn: 17/2
Mississippi State: 15/1
Florida: 18/1
LSU: 25/1

While I agree that Auburn is better, odds and predictions do not go hand in hand.
