Yeah, I’m not gonna say it would’ve changed the outcome, but it definitely set the tone for the rest of the game.

MSU lost their best coach in school history. They will finish 8-5 this season.

*2nd best
ETA: McKeen led the Mississippi State Maroons to the only SEC championship in school history in 1941. Only McKeen, who led State to a 65-19-3 overall record from 1939-48, has posted a higher winning percentage (.764) among Mississippi State head coaches than Mullen

If he's an Arky fan in MS, then I could understand him being tired of hearing about MSU. But let it go man Chiming in on everything related to State is kinda creepy
I’m a State fan in Louisiana, but I’m not obsessed with LSU. Though I can’t speak for all of our posters here.

Jackie Sherrill left a long time ago.

LSU has their worst coach in history. 1-11 in 2018.

Jackie is our 3rd best coach. Allen McKeen is easily at the top. Better win % and an actual championship next to his name.

Dude...49-10. And your team kept the ball and got a FG out of it. A 4 point difference. Why is that even worth mentioning? Shitty calls like that (and it was, I certainly agree with that) matter in close games...they even matter in kind of close games. That game was a smoke job..regardless of the score, State was outmatched in every facet of the game.

Can you not read? I said it wouldn’t have changed the outcome, but it definitely set the tone. Just like LSU’s called back touchdown last year. We won by 30, but had they scored it would have been a different game from a momentum perspective.

The tone of the game was decide well before KO. MSU was AUs easiest wins the last two years. Both games were over before halftime.

Didn't Auburn lose like there entire OL
3 out of 5 played in multiple games last years, including games against UGA, Bama, and MSU. Added an experienced graduate transfer OT and our Center will most likely be a Junior who has been around the program and waiting for his chance to play. Our entire oline will probably be upper classman. Key will be how quick they gel.

top 2 RB
And two years ago our #1 RB was kicked off the team right before fall practice. And three years ago we were replacing a 1,600 yard back in Artis-Payne. And 4 years ago we were replacing a 1,800 yard back and Heisman Finalist. What's your point?

most of the secondary
We lost 3 players and return 3 solid players. Filling those spots will be a question mark, but our defense line will be so good it will make the secondaries job significantly easier.

best pass rusher
Holland was a product of rushing the edge with 4 NFL caliber dlineman, who all return this year. Nobody had even heard of Holland before last year. The guy replacing him is more athletic and more than capable of getting after the QB with all of the attention our front 4 will require. I think most Auburn fans will tell you that isn't a real concern for this year.

We very well may have the best DL in the country, 3 potential first rounders in the starting 4. Let's wait and find out in a few months

Seasons with a Winning Conference Record
Sherrill: 4
Mullen: 1
Overall Wins
Sherrill: 74
Mullen: 69
Sherrill showed us how to win. He changed the perception we had of our program. We won our only SEC West Championship under him. Mullen had more advantages here than Sherrill did too.

Sherill did that with an 11 game schedule also, though in a much weaker SEC. Any and all recent relativity of State is partly due to Sherill
