Since they are both a part of coaching, I would think they are considering both.

Why does Jimbo get top5?

You people shite talk the hell out of aTm 24/7 and how much they spent on a losing coach.

Then you rank him #4 in the coach's poll after he's achieved absolutely nothing..?

Makes perfect sense.

I have no problem with the poll itself, just a problem when I see screwed up logic.

I’d have Stoops at 5 or 6, especially after this last season’s coaching job.

Because his resume warrants top 5 and this board is full of LSU trolls.

What is wrong with me agreeing with a Bama fan.... Kirby is Les Miles 2.0 without the trophy. If he doesn't swallow his pride & change that O, Mullen will take over the East very shortly

That's bullshite. Mullen wets the bed against the Dawgs. No changes with the offense and UGA is still on top of Florida.

We have 3 new offensive coaches in the past 2 weeks. 2 of them prior head coaches. All 3 of them prior OCs.

What an awful ranking
1-4 are correct. Jimbo should be below Stoops and Leach. Muschamp should be 13. If UF win the SECE this year, Mullen should be 3

Kirby Smart is a mediocre to poor in-game coach, and that won't change.

Kirby made a HUGE change with hiring of new OC Todd Monken. You might want to check your internet more than once a month.

Dan Mullen behind Kirby? That’s absurd, I’m pretty sure Mullen is 3-0 against Kirby isn’t he?

Those are decent rankings but I’ll have to see Coach O sustain a couple 10+ win seasons to justify number 2. Also I’d put Muschamp at 9, Mason at 10 and make the other coaches TBD.

Orgeron too low

Coach O was considered a laughingstock as recently as 1 1/2 years ago. Let’s see how the Cajun Genius does with loss of Burrow, Brady & Aranda.

It was a great season for LSU but these rankings should encompass more than one magical season.

Why was he considered a laughingstock?

Hiring a new OC has nothing to do with the dumassery Kirby has done in key moments in close games. What you highlighted is a decision off the field. Not in game.

Also, it remains TBD how a new OC will actually perform. But go figure UGA fans making him out to be a homerun hire before he has ever called a play for UGA just so y’all can be let down again. Y’all don’t half arse your preseason expectations. I’ll give you that.

Might be true but you gotta give credit to
Coach O for having a season like he had.
He put together the pieces.Recruited Burrow, hand picked Brady and he also demanded the offense get better.

One they did was truly innovative and didn't do it trying to copy somebody else's blueprint. He also learned from his previous HC mistakes.

1. Saban
2. Orgeron
3. Mullen
4. Kirby
5. Leach
6. Stoops
7. Malzahn
8. Kiffin
9. Fisher
10. Pruitt
11. Mason
12. Muschamp
13. Drinkwitz
14. Pittman

Based not on W/L but performance level at the program they’re at and the resources available to them.

I rank Stoops and Leach high because they’ve won at schools that nobody wins at

No auburn fan but what the hell has Leach done exactly to be above Gus?

It might be the perennial hot seat Gus sits on that's dragging him down on this ranking.

Pretending Orgeron has no idea about Xs and Os is just not smart. He’s been a part of coaching football for decades. He may not be Saban as a defensive coach, but he understands schemes, technique, responsibilities, coverages, etc
