It would be better. The 80s alone would bump us up in win %, we were pretty good throughout the 80s
This just happens to be the worst possible time period to choose to evaluate us because from the 03-04 season until 16-17 we probably had one of the worst stretches for any major program ever.
Even Cliff Ellis who produced maybe the best regular season in our history (14-2 in the SEC and a #1 seed in the NCAAT in 98-99) still had a losing record in the SEC at 73-87 during his 10 years. He had 7 seasons under .500 in the SEC, the only other two that were at or above .500 were 8-8 and 9-7

SEC Basketball Regular Season Championships Since 1992:
12- Kentucky
6- Florida
4- LSU
3- Tennessee
2- Arkansas
2- Auburn
1- Alabama
1- Miss St.
1- S. Carolina
1- Texas A&M
1- Vanderbilt
SEC Tournament Championships Since 1992 Expansion:
16- Kentucky
4- Florida
3- Mississippi St.
1- Arkansas
1- Auburn
1- Georgia
1- Ole Miss
1- Vanderbilt
Isn't it interesting that the two teams Alabama hates the most are #3 and #4 in regular season championships but don't have any SEC Referee Championships.
SECHQ & REC doin' work

Im glad to see the SEC stepping up and becoming more competitive in basketball like we are as a conference in football and baseball.
No reason we shouldnt be the best conference overall in the Big 3.

It's crazy how bad Mizzou has been since joining the SEC. I can remember thinking when we expanded that they would bring some street cred to SEC basketball. They've been abysmal though.
Crazy indeed. We happened to have our worst 3 seasons in program history right after joining the league. I don't imagine we'll ever be that bad again thankfully.

Auburn had a decent run for five seasons in the '80s.... From the 1983-84 season up through the 1988-89 season, Auburn was 53-37 in SEC play (58.8%). But prior to that, Auburn was again pretty terrible.
In the 13 seasons prior to that blip on the radar, Auburn only finished above .500 in SEC play twice. From 1970-71 through 1982-83, Auburn was an abysmal 89-145 in SEC Play (38.0%).... which is as bad as Auburn's been during the 2000s.

I'm actually surprised we're higher since 2012 than we are since 1992
Mike won a lot of games here, just not in the NCAA tournament. Was time for a change but he left the program in a better place than he found it.

Here’s a list of schools that have won at least 1 game at Rupp Arena since 2009...
Texas A&M
Florida
Arkansas
LSU
Tenn
Evansville
Sorry if I missed anyone.

Joel Eaves was successful at AU years ago.
I’m sure we are well down the list of winning percentage.
Lately though, we made the final 4.
Singing talented players and we have a 21rst Century arena.
We are a basketball school.

Cot damn. BasketVOLS in top 3 even with Wade Houston, Kevin O'Neill, Buzz Peterson, and Cuonzo. That just tells you how great Pearl and Barnes were/are.
Who erased Donnie Tyndall from history dammit?

Big 3. Lol.
There’s the King: Kentucky then the Prince: Florida, then the rest. If you want to be considered in a Big 3, try winning a conference championship in the last 20+ years or at least go to a Sweet 16 in the last 20+ years. Lol

Up until the last 2 years, picking 2012 is our worst era of MSU Basketball. I bet between 1992 and 2012 we're top 5 maybe 3

Kentucky, LSU, and Florida. The rest are trash programs that are irrelevant.

Name 3 SEC teams that have won a Natty more recently than Arkansas. I'll wait.
