There is a lot of parity in basketball. Since 1992, 9 of the 14 teams have an SEC Winning Percentage between 44% and 53%. Kentucky and Florida are way out front.... with S. Carolina, Auburn, and Missouri way behind.
It's crazy how bad Mizzou has been since joining the SEC. I can remember thinking when we expanded that they would bring some street cred to SEC basketball. They've been abysmal though.

I'm actually surprised we're higher since 2012 than we are since 1992

Been feast or famine for LSU. Either in the gutter or competing for the SEC.

Well I accidently left off the 1991-1992 season, so now that its been corrected you're tied for #3 since coming into the league. At least until January.

This list should tell you everything you need to know about the job that Bruce Pearl has managed to do with Auburn. We have been terrible for so long.....

One thing that sticks out to me is how far back Auburn is since 1992 despite having 3 individual seasons that produced either an SEC Regular Season Title or a Tournament Title.
If Bruce Pearl were to transform Auburn and get them to an average regular season record of 11-7 every year... which is a respectable SEC record typically worthy of an NCAA Bid.... it would take Auburn 25 seasons to get back to .500 in SEC play since 1992.
Since the '92 Expansion, Auburn is 13th in Win%. They are 3 games back from South Carolina, so there is a decent shot they move up to #12 this year. They are still 23 games back on Georgia, so even if UGA struggles and finishes below .500 for several more years, it could take Auburn 5-7 years or so at their current pace to get up to #11.
Of course Texas A&M could have a miserable season and fall back faster than anyone because they have fewer games, so they might be the next for Auburn to pass.
Regardless, its a long, long road for Auburn to climb back to having a respectable record since 1992. I shutter to think what it would look like if you went all the way back to the origin of the SEC in 1933.

Cot damn. BasketVOLS in top 3 even with Wade Houston, Kevin O'Neill, Buzz Peterson, and Cuonzo. That just tells you how great Pearl and Barnes were/are.

A&M isn’t good this year but we should be a top half next year and top 3-4 after that. We’ll improve to .500+ during Buzz’s run.

We made it to the tourney the first year or 2 in the SEC. Then we decided to make a move that would put us back 5+ years. We decided to be cheap and hire local ties in Kim Anderson plus we had some recruiting violations to take care of. STL develops a lot of good recruits, but those recruits have been turned off because of Kim Anderson, but those kids are starting to buy into Coach Martin. I really believe Mizzou will make the tournament this year too.
