I mean...they MIGHT have.
I believe Spurrier absolutely would have. His issue was winning his damn in state rivalry game (at UF). At Carolina he 100% gets a playoff bid in 2013 with Shaw leading the charge. I think Spurrier gets 1 more title for sure, but probably 2 more natties with a playoff.

I lost all respect for Urban when he started referring to himself in third person narrative in public speaking. That's waaaaay to arrogant IMO.

Phillip Fulmer is SEVENTH all time in history in career wins as a head coach. He's top ten all time

Eh I don't necessarly know if I agree quite yet. As mentioned just above, spurrier has that whole "changed the way the SEC plays football" thing going, and I don't think having SC as a top ~5 team 3 years in a row can be understated. he also has double the amount of SEC titles as kirby (SO FAR).
An argument can be made for kirby too but taking everything into account I wouldn' argue too hard against spurrier being that high.
Steve only changed the way we defended football. No one tried to copy him while he was at Florida offensively. That would be hard to do and likely a flop.
But like it or not, he found a way to lose a game he shouldn't several times which kept him at one NCship. And he had to have three or four things go right for him to win that one.

Wut? This fanbase, man.
He's not even in the top 100. Not even near it.

Meyer to high. He only coached in the SEC for six seasons. Smart too low. His stats are easily better than Meyer's and probably deserves be a few spots higher. If Smart puts in a few more years and continues to compete for titles, he probably should be #3.

Bear Bryant, Nick Saban, and Robert Neyland top the SEC’s all-time football coaches with 17 combined national titles. Legends like Dooley, Vaught, and Spurrier also shine in SEC history.

The point is, the drive-thru window guy at McDonald's could win 9-10 games every year at Bama.
The current narrative here is that Alabama football is dead. The only reason they were successful was Nick Saban. Without him Alabama is destined to 6-6 seasons for eternity.

Mike Donahue is missing from the list. It wasn’t the SEC yet but he was dominating.

Fulmer over Dooley
Both have a natty
Better win % and bowl record
Did it at a tougher place to win at
Dooley does have more SEC championships.
Though I don't think Fulmer should be in the top 10

I mean check it yourself if you must. Fulmer is factually 7th all time in SEC history with career wins as a head coach. Just SIX guys in SEC history amassed more victories than Fulmer did. Add in his natty and multiple SEC titles and one objectively would conclude he is indeed top ten all time as a SEC head football coach.
He spanked UGA's arse most of his career as a head coach at the very least.

I would argue that Wallace Wade probably makes the top 10 over Shug and Dye.
Wade never coached in the SEC; Bama played in the Southern Conference while he was coach. He left in 1930 and the SEC was founded in ‘33…

The General is #1. Robert Neyland left Tennessee TWICE in order to serve his country. He had his priorities in the right place. Country first, then football.

7th all time in sec history is not what you said. You said he was 7th all time in wins. Check it for yourself.

You'd think both the thread literally being called "SEC ALL Time Football Coaches" and how we have pages of prior discussion debating/ranking specifically coaches who have coached in this conference would not be an implication you are failing to comprehend. UGA fans man, such geniuses.
