I do agree with this. Sankey is going to want to make an example. I would imagine other institutions are going to push for it.

Obviously LSU has the courts on their side (for now) but this is going to get ugly.

I remember when no one was following Kiffin to LSU.

Rulings and signings like this are killing the collegiate game and making fans lose interest.

Alabama fans might be losing interest because they suck now, but the sport is just fine.

You have to be able to not make this an LSU or Alabama issue.

That said, I’d imagine LSU fans wouldn’t be in support of if Wright had returned to Ole Miss or gone to Alabama.

It's a court ruling based on a new NCAA ruling that came AFTER the NFL draft.

It's fair game no matter what team they go to.

It's also worth noting that they have signed NFL contracts and it's also fair game if they jump to the NFL mid-season. Might get interesting.

This is the only season that this specific scenario is going to happen.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Maybe you should stop being such a gaping pussy.

They would be losing their fricking minds right now and would proceed complain about it for the next 10 years.

You know damn well LSU fans wouldn’t be ok with it. I think honest discourse about it is expected and yet LSU fans struggle to do that.

And I imagine Alabama fans would be in support of it if he went to Alabama.

And I imagine Ole Miss fans would be in support of it if he returned to Ole Miss.

The rules are made in state court. LSU isn't worried about SEC rules because they know they can beat the SEC in a Louisiana courtroom

Why didn’t Sankey fiile an affidavit against the Mississippi state court ruling allowing Trinidad Chambliss a 6th year of eligibility? The ruling precludes any punishment if the Mississippi ruling gets tossed eventually on appeal. Other schools should stand by and allow Ole Miss to sidestep long held eligibility rules to gain a competitive advantage obtained in a friendly courtroom?

Sankey literally sent out a memo to SEC schools on 8/11 reminding them that conference eligibility rules are still in effect (i.e., intraconference transfers are not allowed), so this should be fun

That’s where you’re wrong.

I attempted to accept the court ruling with Bediako but when he was ruled ineligible, it was a distraction eliminated and a sigh of relief. Just because the court rules in your favor doesn’t mean it’s what you think should happen.

This same distraction will be there for LSU now. Is it worth it? Doubtful.

Maybe you did.

But there were a lot of Alabama fans who celebrated the ruling. It's what fans do.

I don't disagree with this, as I said, I don't even know that he'd be that effective.

LSU will get him on the LSU roster very soon. It is too bad that there are rules that will be broken like this one.

At that point he’s a distraction.

Two weeks until football and now Kiffin has to address questions about this and it’s an unknown element inserted into the locker room.

Free agency in college football to this level is shite and that’s why I think the SEC will push back hard.
