Why do people think Christianity is growing so fast there? It really did not have much of a presence right before the 1979 Revolution.
Are missionaries even allowed?
Iran, Syria, Egypt, Armenia, Turkey, etc were all Christian prior to the Arabs coming out of the Arabian peninsula. For 7 centuries prior to the start of the Crusades Islam reigned after killing and forcing Islamic religions on everyone at the point of a sword.

There are two priest in our area that are the most serious hard-core priests I've ever been around.
One is a little more gracious and the other is all business all the time. The kind of stuff that when either walks in the room is different. There is a change around them. Like an aura. It's hard to describe.
I found out one of them if not both perform exorcisms.
After finding that out I don't doubt anymore. They would be the type to have to combat demons..... and win at all costs.
Legit spiritual warriors.
They've both brought me closer to my faith. Just knowing them. They make you want to know what they know.
Serious business.

Yes it has gravity.
My point was comparatively speaking to us its effectively zero.
Much easier and less force needed to escape what little gravity is present.
Thanks Mr Semantics for your addition to the conversation.

Also with zero gravity easier to launch massive payloads offsite.
You can consolidate up there and then launch to mars

If you are willing to branch out a little the Suzuki DR series is bulletproof. Same design for like 30 years. Lots of parts. Can be had for cheaper than a Honda. Very comfortable.
A DRZ 400 is my dream bike. They are very strong. Footpegs and handlebar fit well. Im 6'4" and 240. Not on road i could go smaller than the 400 but id like to eventually get into adventure riding one day and will need to support more cargo.

No flush.
Drain.
Change hoses.
Refill.
Run 10 minutes or until warm.
Top off.
*If you want to get it all out and your engine is cold you can crank it without hoses and it'll pump everything out of the block real frickin fast. It'll make a hell of a mess but it'll work. Close the hood to help contain the spray. Then kill it.

re: Anyone experience douchey coaches in youth rec leagues?
Posted by thejudge on 1/20/26 at 12:36 pm to burger bearcat
I coach rec sports and have for years.
Depends on the coach and their egos.
Your son does need to work harder to improve himself for the playing time from the majority of coaches.
Rules typically are all kids play one quarter worth of time in the first half. Then up to coaches discretion after that.
I play everyone as much as possible but there are usually one or two kids that stay on a ton of time just because they can dribble at that age. You have to have some flow or the games are painful and the kids are miserable as are the parents.
I track playing time through the season to make it as even as possible.
Last year I lead every game at halftime. We had 14 kids on a basketball team. I had a spreadsheet with kids spread through 4 quarters to equal rotations. Come second half I lost several games cause I played everyone despite other coaches playing to win.
We choose to develop and have a good time. You'll be surprised how many kids come back better the next year because they want more playing time.
Not all coaches are equal. You should volunteer. I coach 2 basketball and 2 baseball teams every year. It's rewarding and you get to run games as you see fit.
A old coach told.me i started to make sure I play everyone. He said for a lot of kids its the last time theyll ever play a competitive sport. Let em have fun.
