It happened within 48 hours. I highly doubt all the coaches saying "NO" were actually asked. It takes time to work out the details so Bama got their first choice

Saban fired Kiffen the day before the NCG that year. Rather doubtful then that he would change his mind, especially to this degree.

Shame I think Lane would have best for the job. I've always wanted Lane. I would about bet Ole Miss wins a natty before Alabama wins another one (If Lane stays). I like Lane's tweeter attack and his talking smack. As well as Alabama loves Trump....you would think Lane would be loved. Trump is the master of tweeting and talking smack. I don't get it.

So did Bear Bryant when he was young. He almost didn't get hired at Alabama because back when he was coach at Kentucky; Bear was a womanizing hell raiser. He was.....YOUNG! Lane was just young, but he has grown and matured. He is a great coach.
