Milroe gives Bama the best chance to win period. This had to be obvious to every Alabama fan that watched just five minutes of Buckner and Simpson playing.

Sure, Nick. His “leadership” (and not Simpson’s poor / Buchner’s abysmal play) is what did it…

There’s a lot you can learn about a player who has experienced disappointment and how he responds. You already know what Milroe is physically capable of now you get to see what kind of man he is.

Yeah, save that shite for practice. If I were a Tide fan, I'd be mad as hell at Saban for that shite.

It took throwing the kitchen sink at them to leave town with a win against SOUTH FLORIDA.

The only possible positive I see from our lack of pass rush so far is he might think he has time to throw and he might force some bad ones we can pick. Our DBs have been a plus so far. If he’s flushed from the pocket and takes off it could be a long game for us.

All you Milroe doubters just hang tight. We’ll get him straightened out Saturday afternoon.

The real question is why did he not play against USF.

It sounds like Saban wanted to see how his reaction would be if he wasn't the starter. And then how his reaction would be if he didn't play at all. Would he still lead from the sideline and support the other two. Sounds like he did exactly what Saban wanted and now he doesn't have to look over his shoulder and wonder what happens if I screw up.

I can't belive I am writing this....but if Bama had signed Graham Mertz, they would be a lock to win 10 games.

Brodie could have been a Heisman candidate under Saban. John Parker Wilson quarterbacked a team that won the West. Would kill to have either.

I love Spencer Pennington but I’m not sure he’s much of an improvement.

Curious:

How "large" is your offensive line? Are they maybe so big that they can't move? And is this the same offensive line everyone bragged about being the best in 'Bama history?

Nick Saban: "Jalen (Milroe) really showed the leadership that I was looking for during the game. ... So I think he's earned the opportunity to be the quarterback."

Milroe led the team out before the game started and then congratulated everyone after/during the game.

I think Nick was teaching the old-fashion way (Milroe not playing) and was looking for leadership.

Maybe he got what he was looking for.

3 losses minimum. The kid cannot play QB. I don't think Simpson got enough of a chance to prove/disprove he is capable.

Personally, I'd roll with Lonergan.

Not true from a co-worker that has a son that starts for Bama and traveled with the team to Tampa. He was sidelined so he could observe and learn how to become the leader of this team.

Let's face it, Bama could've won this game running the wildcat all day. I'm not a Saban fan, but I'll give credit where credit is due. He didn't forget how to coach. He just has to learn how to adjust when you ain't got the Jimmy's and Joe's like you use to. Still a lot of football to be played yet. RTR

Maybe to show the idiots in the fan base why he's the starter and not the other scrubs.

Lol. I don't think
Buckner will ever play
For another major conference again. Maybe a Troy State or similar. He looked similar or worse than
Blake Barnett
