So who does UGA, UF, USC, & UK play that isn't SEC nor in-state ACC rival play for a big game?
You just put our 12th slot as G5.

The powers that be COULD NOT even create a 10 game only SEC schedule with rivalries in their appropriate calendar slot for 2020!!!

The teams I see being against it are Scar, UF, and UGA. They have OOC rivalries, so they’d get one cupcake game

Everyone should play 10 SEC, 1P5 and a cupcake.

Maybe we could get lucky and KY every once in a while.

I could get on board with 9 conference games, 2 P5 OOC & 1 true cupcake for everyone

10 game conference schedule makes a ton of sense with a 14 team conference.

Six games against division opponents
1 game against permanent cross-divisional opponent
Three games against other cross-divisional opponents

With a 10 game conference schedule, there won’t be any scenario when two teams go more than two years without playing each other.

I would scrap divisions. Two permanent and rotate 8. Two best teams battle in Nashville for the title.

I'm cool w it besides it killing non power 5 football. They rely on that money.

At least other SEC teams get an automatic W when they play the Hogs. It's just like playing a non power 5 team when we are on their schedule.

We also like to put Miami on the schedule every 6 or 7 years. So that would mean 10 SEC games, FSU and Miami. Anyone else up for this? FSU is currently down, but for how long?

He’s full of shite!

He claims to want a harder schedule - yet he schedules more OOC cupcakes than anyone else.

”wE wAnT tO pLaY tHe bEsT - that’s why we’ve scheduled Duke, Arky State, Western Carolina, and New Mexico State.”

It's time these programs learned to survive on their own without living off of our money.

I agree in principle with capitalism (I’m far from a commie), but this is a bad take with regards to CFB. As a former player at a small school, these games are the life blood for countless schools/programs far beyond football. No sport provides more opportunities for young people to get an education than football.

What I mean by this, is that far more than just football players benefit from the money generated through football programs. Some schools use the 2-3 beat downs on an annual basis to fund entire athletic departments. Sometimes, these games end up in major upsets (App State vs. Michigan, Georgia Southern vs. Florida come to mind).

The major point being that so many gifted athletes who will never play professional sports, or don’t make it D1 for whatever reason, would lose out on the opportunity to play the sport they love while continuing their education if we move too far from the current model.

Call it a transfer of wealth, socialism, whatever you want - but it is a fact that the price of college education is far too high for most, often saddling young adults with crippling debt before they ever start a career.

Count me in on giving as many kids as possible an opportunity to play at the next level and continue their education.

I am against it

I like the idea of going to Camp Randall, South Bend, Seattle... Etc. I really want Bama to play in Boston

10 SEC means that that goes away. Granted we do pick up more opportunity to visit the Columbias or Gainseville/Nashville but we (Bama) do get there

The two additional games will be West Carolina USM teams in order to get 7 home games. Everyone talks about these games being revenue games for Savanmah St -true, but they are also significant financial windfalls for the home school/town. I do also like app sts beating UM or Coastal Carolina beating big 12 so there is that plus side
