I'm against it b/c it makes it impossible for teams w/a permanent OOC rival to ever schedule games against other P5s.

Saban is just being a baby b/c he doesn't want to ever risk losing to a good G5.

I mean shite, we had 3 Big 12 teams lose to Sun Belt teams opening weekend this year. It's not like every G5 game is a blowout.

Also, I don't think many of you would like what it would do you everyone's win percentages. 8-4 feels a hell of a lot better than 5-7.

Lol. What recruiting rules? Vandy has built a spectacular baseball program, why can’t you build a football program?

I'm cool w it besides it killing non power 5 football. They rely on that money.

The money they make from those games is not much compared to the millions they lose every single year

Wut? Vandy has more advantages than any other SEC school. You need to actually invest those league funds in infrastructure and recruiting.

Also expand the two other games to a round robin of power five schools and call it a day. 12 legit games with box office appeal.

I would feel for the "mid-majors". Some of those programs would cease to exist.

Most of those programs need to cease. There is no reason South Alabama should be paying $10 mil a year for a football program no one cares about

Like hell they do. It gives kids who don't have perceived P5 talent a chance to get a college education. Look around the NFL at all of the kids who fell through the P5 cracks.

He plays two G5 schools every year. He hasn’t lost to one in 13 years

Or just strive for a legit FCS program like JSU.

Seriously- not very complicated. Obviously a hard thing to do, but it’s straightforward.

One: improve facilities - a huge factor for recruitment. A nice stadium/arena/ballpark is invaluable.

Two: energize the freaking fan base. It’s embarrassing seeing away team majority crowds in Nashville.

Three: make a home run hire.

These three things are pretty much how Auburn basketball has gotten to where it is. We built a brand new arena, and hired the perfect head coach in Pearl. He energized the fan base, and recruiting picked up a lot, followed by wins.

Any program can do this. AU basketball was bottom of the barrel.

2% of college players make the NFL, its much lower for just G5 schools. Lots of kids need a chance at a college education not just football players

Make a bowl.
The only two rivalries that should be preserved are Georgia Tech and FSU anyways,

Clemson has no historical relevance to our conference and should have to pay for that South Carolina rent-a-P5win.

The top of the G5 is better than a lot of the P5 anyways, and their conferences don’t really directly compete with ours in terms of TV contracts and viewership.

I’d gladly take a permanent rivalry with Southern Miss and a rotating schedule with the other good southeastern G5 schools than the crappy P5 schools we play. The whole point of the bowl season is to try to get a good bowl to have an exciting cross-conference matchup.

P5 CFB is a business, it’s time to stop pretending and time to do what’s best for our programs.

A lot of kids can't afford a college education. That's why athletic scholarships are so important. We certainly don't need to start doing away with athletic programs that provide opportunities for kids to get a college education.

G5 schools, many of them, should be in the FCS. I agree with Saban.

Let's see...
10 SEC games
1 COFH vrs. GT
1 game open for anybody

7 H game yearly schedule

NOT possible, so downvote from UGA.

JMO but 9 would be a better deal.....need those 3 little sisters of the poor so can get to 8 homes games. Got to pay for all those sports teams that lost money every year.

The playoff is rigged anyway so why not play the teams you want to see during the regular season and let the chips fall where they may.

Wouldn't this make more money for each team than giving a million or two to these cupcakes? Not sure how the payouts work but seems like it would put alot more in each teams pocket.
