I think the mascot change should have been saved until OM is coming out from or after the sanctions are announced. I could see it being used as a recruiting ploy to come play for a new OM program that has turned a new leaf.

At least a crimson tide is a real thing, and an elephant is a real thing. All sharks live in water, there is no such thing as a land shark. This was used to describe the Ole Miss defense when it was decent, I guess. Now it is a joke, that can't even stop Bama' 6th string running back, with 3rd and 4th teamers blocking for him. I give it four years tops before the pc idiots realize their mistake and fix it.

I personally think the mascot should be an empty vault... because you guys will be short 45 million or so over the next 3 years from bowl sanctions and are morally bankrupt.

Landsharks is pretty cool for a good defense. Steelers didn't change their name to steel curtain. Our current defense is a bunch of non tackling pusses, they don't deserve the landshark title.
