He makes $750k here. Not that its a huge difference, but I would hope that we would pony up to keep him. He is pretty loyal to CWM, and he just moved his mom up here from Miami.

TRob has been with Muschamp for a long time. I can't see him going from being DC for a guy that he's built a relationship like that with to DC within same conference. HC somewhere? I could see that.

Yeah, but this is kind of the problem for him professionally. He's a DC for a defensive minded head coach. He's never going to get full credit.

You could say it worked out for Kirby Smart, but Will Muschamp isn't Nick Saban and USCe isn't winning a bunch of national championships in the near future.

TRob is Muschamp's Rhett Lashlee. Not to say that he may not be a great DC on his own one day, but right now, Muschamp is is the guy really behind that defense.

I would say this is a fairly accurate description in that TRob is calling plays within Muschamps scheme and in that TRob is more likely to be forced out, which isn't happening, than to leave to the same position elsewhere.

If Jimbo targets him, A&M will pay what it takes to get him. Robinson would have to be REALLY committed to staying in Columbia. (Great little city, by the way. I love it.)

You say its a problem yet here we are talking about a NC winning coach wanting to hire him to one of the better job openings in the country.

I don't think we could/would win a bidding war against y'all. I just think there is more to it for him wanting to stay here in SC. I could be wrong, but just my personal feel for it.

Right. What I'm saying is that if wants to be a HC one day, he might be wise to leave.

I bet you never show your face again if Jimbo doesn’t head to CS

My friend, that's over. Jimbo is going to be A&M's coach in a few days. Just resign yourself to that fact.

It won't be long until he is offered a HC job. Each season he seems to be regarded more and more as a rising star, I don't think it will be long before someone makes him an offer.

If he stays at SC and we see even more improvement next year on D, I think he'll get an offer.

Isn't Jimbo to A&M still a [Rumor] at this point?

Thats true and I say that simply because he's on the Defensive side of the ball. If he were the exact same guy with the same knowledge/success/recruiting on offense I think teams like UCF, USF, Tx Tech would be on him already. But those kinda teams don't typically go for defensive minded HCs.

Has he learned enough to run his own defense? Would be good for recruiting.

1. I’ve been here for years, I’m not going anywhere
2. Jimbo will be here, not even concerned

Yep, we'll pony up the cash for him and it would be a home run hire for DC.
That's exactly what yall said about Chavis too.

Yes. There is going to be a whole lot of crow on the table next week if he doesn't come.
