Cowboys used to be my least favorite NFL team till they drafted Dak. I bought a Cowboys hat the day after the draft and have been a fan ever since.

LSU fans would have to follow a whole lotta teams

That was sort of my point in my first post about Auburn.
I can't understand why the typical Auburn fan doesn't cheer for all of it's former players equally. It is weighted so extreme just to Cam Newton and the Panthers that they'll root against teams with their former players, even if the teams have multiple AU players.

I cheer for Cam Newton, and love to see him rustle the NO Saints fans here, but I’m a Denver Broncos fan first. FWIW, Super Bowl 50 was a joy to watch.

Some accomplished more in college. Some meant more to the success of Auburn.

I'd feel sort of spurned by my former school, if I had played at Auburn and just read that.
I don't root more for one Alabama graduate more than another, yet I know some "accomplished more" at the school, perhaps even helped the team win more at the school.

The only separation I'll give to different Bama alums are the ones that get in trouble with the law.
Otherwise, I root well for all of them.
If AJ McCarron throws and interception to Landon Collins, it is a wash for me. Good for Landon, bad for AJ.

I root for drake because he is a Dolphin. I wouldn't feel any les pissed if Julio caught a game winning touchdown against the Dolphins because he played at Bama. I hope they all do well outside of playing Miami

Love the LSU and UF players on the Falcons...don't think the LSU players are conflicted but knowing how provincial that state is(LA),I always wondered where their loyalties were.

Well, it’s true.

A guy like Cam Newton meant a lot more to Auburn than someone like Brandon King.

The dumbasses that post on this board would rather downvote you for simply being an ol miss fan rather than reading the point of your post. You’re spot on. Being a huge CFB fan we can’t help but follow players more than teams. The nfl is boring as shite, slow, and is much less exciting than college. I can’t believe it actually has “fans”.

If I was an Aubbie, I'd be embarrassed to cheer for a hired ringer.
I think it's sad he's regarded anywhere near Bo Jackson.
frick that noise.

ETA: and frick the NFL, too. Not even my beloved Saints will EVER see one red cent of my fat-assed dirty dollar.

I couldn't care less about which former Ole Miss athletes are on which NFL team. My favorite NFL team varies from year to year. It's a tactic I learned from Alabama fans: Root for the team that has the best chance of winning. You'll feel much better about yourself.

I usually keep up with them for their first few years in the league but won’t go out of my way to watch them play after that unless it just happens to be on. It’s fun for me seeing how their games translate to the next level. But I did watch nearly every game Darren McFadden played in for a while.

Alabama fans furiously root for Ingram(while talking shite to Saints fan) because he went to a team whose fans hate him and legitimately think he sucks arse at the sport.

How in the hell do you root for a QB and root against the team? But anyway, congrats?

Gross. Jesus can play QB for the Cowboys and I wouldn’t do that.

I pull for several teams that feature former Dawg greats. Thankfully, the Atlanta Falcons never draft UGA stars so I never feel the pain of their hilarious playoff shite shows.

I follow Gurley with the Rams and, with the Patriots, Sony Michel, David Andrews, Malcolm Mitchell and Isaiah Wynn. I wish the Browns and Nick Chubb well.
