I'm a Miami Dolphins fan but I really don't follow the NFL as much as I follow college football if I had to categorize it as a percentage I would say my sport fandom is about 60% college football 35% international soccer and about 5% NFL.

I've just always found college football far more exciting than NFL I have no idea why it's just how I've always felt it also could be because the Dolphins have been terribly managed for many years.

To the point of my post, how many of you start to follow an NFL team more closely because of a particular college player either playing or being drafted by that NFL team that you enjoyed watching play for your college football team?

I've been following Chad Kelly stuff with Denver ever since he got drafted by them it looks like he's going to win the backup position and I honestly think he could potentially start for Denver depending on how Case Keenum does for them or how healthy Case Keenum stays I do worry about him playing behind that offensive line.

do any of you watch your quarterbacks or running backs or anyone play for a NFL team and watch them consistently because of that?

It seemed every AU fan became a Panthers fan during their recent super bowl loss season.

No college team roots more for a certain NFL team, even though there are quite a few other Tigers players on other teams, than Auburn roots for the Carolina Panthers

Watched the Cowboys a good bit year before last. Prior to that I’d watch the NFL playoffs but that was about it. Did not watch a single NFL play last year. Don’t plan to watch this year. Kind of interested in the rebirth of the XFL.

I've been a Panthers fan since well before Cam, thank you very much.

But I also became a Panthers fan in 03 before their first SB run and because they had another former AU player, Stephen Davis.

I think its lame and a waste of time. I watch the NFL because i love it. And people have the nerve to complain about fans rooting for a school they never attended..

Alabama is a football crazed state with no NFL team, people have to base their fandom off something.

Of course, with as much shite as AU fans put up with, we basked in the continuation of the troll.

This. I never even knew a Panthers fan in Birmingham before they drafted Cam. We have a lot of them now.

Don't get me wrong. I love to see Bama players do well in the NFL, but I'm not going to switch a life-long allegiance to the Steelers simply because my team doesn't have any Bama players.

Sure, I follow LSU players in the NFL and hope they do well, unless they play the saints haha. It's different when you have a home state team to pull for I guess. I always hope LSU players do well but I'm a saints fan first.

If the saints could win and the LSU players could have great games I would rather than. I'm a bigger LSU fan than saints but the saints are definitely my team.

I want the Bucs to shite on every other team in the league. My allegiance starts and stops with them.

But certain Alabama players instantly have me rooting for other teams to some extent.

I'm such a big Kenyan Drake fan that I'd die and go to heaven if he dominated the league and took them on a deep playoff run.

Same with Ingram and Henry.

#ProHogs only.

I don't give a darn about a pro organization that can up and leave a city anytime they want. I want every former Razorback that reps my alma mater to succeed.

The only team I somewhat care about is the Cowboys - and that is only due to Jerry Jones owning them.

AU fans

Alabama fans furiously root for Ingram(while talking shite to Saints fan) because he went to a team whose fans hate him and legitimately think he sucks arse at the sport.

87% of Auburn fans simultaneously become Carolina fans overnight because it's a fun troll.

I never really do this. As a guy who pulls for the Eagles for example. I refuse to pull for any Deadskin players. That includes Derrius Guice.
