Should also give extra points to coaches who have taken multiple schools to the CWS. I think that is only Jay, Schloss, and DVH.

The trophies reside in Baton Rouge

The amount of hardware in such a short amount of time suggests Jay is king at the moment. When Vitello wins another title then you can talk about putting him ahead of Jay but not right now. But then again Jay is not done winning titles I promise you.

I’d argue you need to move Mingione up the list for being the only baseball coach in history to take Kentucky to one. Even Cohen didn’t pull that off.

Virginia was a nothing program in a part of the country that doesn’t care about college baseball and O’Connor took them to Omaha seven times and won a championship (played in the finals of another).
He’s certainly better than 9th best in the league, even in a league with great coaching depth.

I did not realize until now that Mingione has already been at UK twice as long as Cohen was. Heck he’s been at UK longer than Cohen was head coach at State.

Tony V took a mid baseball program into a national powerhouse! Jay inherited everything.

Kentucky is irrelevant in college baseball and pretty much every sport, so yea Ming is a decent coach.

Hate to admit it, but I think Brian O'Connor will be at the top of the list in a few years. He and Jay will battle for it. Tony V is cooked.

Winning percentage doesn’t really matter if you don’t win the last game of the season.
Jay did that!
Jay did that!

Who’s Tony V’s daddy? You know

You are a complete moron

This is flat out stupid ignorance. No MCWS is never higher than those who have. 1MCWS never trumps one with 2 - he is the top of the leader board. The debate is the orders of the 1s, who are to be ranked above the zeroes and then rank them. We have managers who have fielded terrific talent and not won though should have; at least on paper - is why paper doesn't matter
Era is inconsequential as they won versus like competition - so don't start with that rabbit trail

Which makes what he has accomplished more laudible

I genuinely don’t know our coach’s name. Well played.
