All of ya'll listing Vandy are liars. I can guarantee that 90% of you have never met a true Vandy fan. You can't even meet them at their home games. I've known two true Vandy fans in my life and I've lived in TN for 21 years. Most of their students are from up North and don't care about sports.
FYI: you can tell a true Vandy fan from a fake one easily. A true Vandy fan will politely let you know how much more intelligent they are than you. And they will especially let you know how smart their athletes are and how stupid yours are. Trust me on this.

I've been to the Arkansas-Alabama game in Tuscaloosa five times and have always been treated over the top great. I'm convinced that as long as you're not a complete a-hole, a visiting fan could walk up to almost any tailgating tent and get free food and beer.
Of course, it helps when your team doesn't present any chance of winning.

I have at least two acquaintances that I rarely see who are self-proclaimed big "Alabama fans" and I know for a fact that they used to be ardent supporters of other teams.
They're both assholes in general, so I can see how you'd think that if you were around them or other "fans" like them.
For the record, most LSU fans that I know are brazen, partying, high-functioning idiots, and I love every minute I spend with them.

For the most part all SEC fan bases are pretty cool in person. This is essentially a description of the personal experiences that stand out.
1. LSU fans have always been nice and great at a get together. A lot of these people are hilarious as well. (Doesn't often translate as well online - just true)
2. Bama. The real fans are good at winning with humility, and they're pretty respectful. Years ago when I used to bartend their travelling fans were always the best guests. (as opposed to UK people were shite tippers)
3. Vandy. Rare to find in the wild, but they're good people, smart & insightful, and very good conversationalists.

10: Auburn. These folks have serious little-brother energy. When they're good, they're pretty good people.
More often they're unimaginative and disrespectful.
11. UF. Too many entitled, annoying, low class people who can't hold their liquor.
Too Insufferable to Rank: SCe folks are just annoying and ignorant AF about football and almost anything else. They must graduate more idiots per capita any GED program in the country.

I’ve been on the road all over the SEC. If your not an a hole looking for trouble you will be fine everywhere. Had some jackass Gator fan get in my face leaving the stadium in a game that they had won. Was white trash. That was in Gainesville.

Best from my perspective-Based on both road trips and tailgates in Baton Rouge-Ole Miss by far then Bama, Auburn, MSU which are all great.
Worst from my perspective- UFORFEIT and Aggie. For totally different reasons.

When we played South Carolina, we hosted a bunch of USC fans, and they were easily the most enjoyable fans I've been around. Before the game, there was little talk about the game itself. I think it's because they were genuinely just looking for a good time.

Not to mention, we a great travel service in Dawg Days providing accommodations and transportation.
