Adding to this:

Corral through 3:

210.86 QB rating
1,080 yards
9 td 1 int

Opponents included UF and Bama. Early on the top 3 was Mac, Trask and Corral (until Corral's dip against Arkie and Auburn).

3.9 YPA

And passer rating is notorious for rewarding high volume passers, so that rating is generous. The reason Total QBR was created was to judge a QB based on all aspects of the game.

- High leverage situations weighted higher
- Rushing yards considered
- Sacks taken considered
- Strength of defense considered
- Contributing to TD drive

Passer Rating includes none of that.

Player A: 32/50, 450 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 4 sacks, 1 fumble, 0 rushing yards vs Vanderbilt

Player B: 20/32, 240 yards, 75 rushing yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 0 Sacks, 0 fumbles vs Alabama

Using Passer Rating, Player A would be graded higher. It’s not a good stat at all.

Agreed - his EPA Added was bad as well.

Brennan flashed some talent and made some explosive plays, but anytime he fell behind the chains he was just plain bad.

1st Down
192.6 Rating
35/59 (59%)
646 yards
10.9 YPA
8 TD
1 INT

Every Other Down
123.7 Rating
44/72 (61%)
466 yards
6.5 YPA
3 TD
2 INT

I never said it wasn’t. I guess privilege is considered an insult now.

The general societal use of it in 2021 would certainly lean that way, yes

No it’s not. It’s based on per attempt

Which was often since LSU couldn't run the ball.

ETA A bad offensive line will frick you every time. Can't run on the early downs, can't pass protect on the obvious passing downs. Not to mention our wide receivers were all butterfingers early in the year.

A&M too high - 7
They have to replace 4/5 starters on oline assuming no one comes back for extra year
Brand new QB
Defense has some holes to fill as well.

I'm not sure what defensive holes we have to replace? Our DL will be amazing as usual, the secondary won't be freshmen anymore, and the LB's are losing some experience

The OL stepping in are CONSIDERABLY more talented but lack experience. A&M's record will depend on the schedule. If front loaded we will lose a little more than if it is back-loaded. The new OL need to gain experience, but it isn't like they have an all-new coaching staff to deal with either.

Don't even get me started on the QB improvement ... A&M will be young but talented next year, with a lot of that youth having significant snaps. Kind of like LSU who you seem to think will be world-beaters with huge staff turnover

Gotta agree with you on this one. Alabama isn’t being overrated. We’ve done this before after they lost a bunch of dudes to the NFL. They can sustain success like no other team.

Just don't see it.

Leach and a young Mississippi state dominated Mizzou

Absolutely. If you have a dreadful group up front you are fricked. There is no scheming around it consistently.

We should be better since Mond announced that he's going to the NFL to play scout team for a month before being cut.

What was MSU regular season record this year? 3-7! That is the reason why MSU are basing on from this year record. Missouri went 5-5! That is also important to notice Missouri is replacing a DC that should improve from last season.

State will be better than Tennessee, auburn and Missouri next year. Arkansas and Ole Miss about equal.

We have a lot of young talent that performed well the 2nd half of the season
