LSU can show that due to Lane's direct actions, we are embroiled in a federal lawsuit with our own conference, accused of LOIC, conspiring with ineligible athletes, etc.
These are serious charges and I believe would fit 'for cause' should it come down to getting rid of Lane.

Zero-point-zero-zero-zero chance any of this happens.
LSU is ALL-IN on defending itself in the federal lawsuit, from the governor on down. We have the state attorney general stating publicly that the only reason the lawsuit hasn't been dismissed is that LSU refused to punish Kiffin because he and LSU has done nothing wrong.
To even attempt to use that lawsuit as "cause" would be to admit none of the defense against the lawsuit was true. Not. Gonna. Happen.

The problem with this board is that FACTS are optional and stupid to you guys.
If the worst happens, and LSU had to fire Lane, i can guarantee you, that to avoid a huge buyout, LSU would not hesitate to use the accusations from the SEC to show cause.
