You would think that with an $18 billion endowment, they could spruce the place up a bit more.

East side of the ATM campus is pretty nice.

Too lazy to post pics.

I like the are around the parade grounds/fountain/Sul Ross statue area as well.

The rest of it is pretty unremarkable.

College Station kind of sucks because there was really no town there until after WWII. Same with Clemson. The end result is that there are none of those old pre WWII neighborhoods that make most campus areas so charming.

Those are definitely an upgrade from the old dorms.

TAMU, home of 50's style Soviet architecture

They had a thread on TexAgs about a decade ago and it was funny as hell, while some was tongue in cheek, TAMU really did have lots of ugly buildings including a few with few or no windows and everything was beige.

At least they film some TV shows and movies there.

We understand and fully embrace our soviet tractor factory architectural theme.

The reality is when you're walking through campus in September, you don't give a shite about architecture or windows.

Every building looks like an oasis of cool, comfortable, air conditioned bliss, and you can't wait to get inside.

CPSU will be displeased. Not enough statues/busts/pictures of Comrade Lenin.
