Somebody got the message. Ironic that the Zachary Engineering Building, named after H.B “Pat” Zachary, who started making his fortune in concrete construction, was made over into this glass beauty in the video. A lot of that concrete was at the time an efficient use of taxpayer funds to build quickly a campus that was growing very quickly.
We used to joke that the national bird of Texas A&M was the crane. ( I will pause briefly for our east of the Sabine River readers to get that).
LINK
I remember walking into The Zack in the 80’s and was blown away by size of the open space inside. It was 324,000 SF per their link. Also, Zachary did get the contract to build the US Embassy in Moscow.

Weird melt a day later.
You're right, I don't have "a" degree. I have 3. From two different SEC member schools. Not sure what that has to do with anything in this thread tho...

Is that a bomb shelter or an eastern European government building?

Okay, we have 3 times the population, but we also have about THIRTY times the number of in-state institutions of higher learning to choose from.
There are 263 colleges and universities in Texas. About 5% are Aggies- the highest number in the state. FWIW

I've visited St. Petersburg (Russia) twice and there are literally miles of apartment buildings that look just like this on the outskirts of the city.
I’ve been too, and can confirm. Nevski Prospect (the main shopping district), Catherine Palace, Church of the Spilled Blood and The Hermitage art museum are amazing, but outside these and other tourist attractions it’s depressing.
Never been to College Station, but judging from the pics posted, I imagine it’s similar.

Just would prefer away locations that don’t suck.
