You folks need to learn your civil war history
Or just run to the big 10 where you belong. Not knowing civil war history is no issue for those folks. Just another thing yall (you guyses) have in common

That’s like an asterisk national title. Missouri never fully seceded.

Wish A&M would split for the B10 and get the better money. Only SEC leadership would be incompetent enough to have a superior product and get an inferior payout.

As such, we are superior intellectually, and totally conned the fools of the old guard SEC out of millions in cash. Not sure what eligibility requirement the douchebag OP thinks is required for membership.
Side note...I hate grits, but do love fried chicken so I guess I'm a little conflicted. I also enjoy traveling to the SEC venues as compared to the landfill of kansas.
These are the only people from Missouri I've ever known. Are all the folks there still like this?

Congratulations, but then, explain to me how my daughter graduated from Wash U in St. Louis (the highest academically-ranked university in the state) Summa Cum Laude in Mathematics and received the award as the Top Mathematics graduate…and she is from the Deep South (bordering the Gulf of America). Were there no Midwesterners at that university?

Missouri doesn’t belong in the sec because they suck at everything. Having said that it’s hard to argue that the ozarks aren’t southern culture. Mark Twain national forest sounds pretty southern to me.

I always laugh when an LSU fan says A&M isn’t a fit in the SEC. Shows how stupid they are, with absolutely no knowledge of the University’s ties to the Confederacy. Or LSU’s ties to William Tecumseh Sherman.

Congrats on sending her to an Academically superior college in Missouri. We readily welcome high achievers.
Obviously she doesn't belong in the SEC either.
Side note: Congrats, that's a hell of an accomplishment achieving that goal.

I live at the top of the "Bootheel" in southeast Missouri. Sikeston, "Home of the Throwed Roll" at Lamberts Cafe. Most people around here identify as "country", some of us considerer ourselves "southern'. 25 minutes from Tennessee, 20 minutes from Kentucky and less than an hour from the Arkansas border. It feels pretty southern around here!

I would clutch my pearls, but I’m too busy enjoying the $72 million the University of Missouri received from the SEC in revenue distribution this year.
$72 million proofs we belong.
Suck it!

Not one cent of that hit your account, but cool.

Lamberts is cool. Down around New Madrid they grow cotton. I’d definitely class that part of the state as Southern.
The biggest thing in Missouri’s favor is that they wanted to join. Versus Tulane, Georgia Tech and Sewanee that left. Those are Yankee type moves.

I went to a game in COMO several years ago when Bert was the coach, damn near got in a fistfight with a Mizzou fan in the stands. His dad had to escort him out, they're okay with me based on that.

Cool. How are you enjoying it, do you work for the athletic department or something?
Seems like it has mostly been squandered to me. Nothing of relevance has been won and your facilities are still arse

Oh, just the knowledge that the revenue is split evenly, and Mizzou is treated like a real brother. It’s really touching.

I agree that Missouri is Midwest but Oklahoma is Southern, or Southwestern. Nobody from Oklahoma says they're in "the Midwest", in fact Kentucky is more "Midwest" than Oklahoma.

True. St. Louis and Kansas City are both below the latitude of the Mason-Dixon Line. Jesse James lived just south of it in Northern Missouri. St. Joseph, MO is just north of it.
