Big 6 (SEC NC contending teams). Traditionally every big 6 team played two other big 6 teams a year for better TV matchups.
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
LSU
Tennessee
Big 6 playing big six every year with new rotation.
Alabama - Auburn, Tennessee
Auburn - Alabama, Georgia
Florida - Georgia, ? one???
Georgia - Auburn, Florida
LSU - ? None, seriously, NONE???
Tennessee - Alabama, ? one???
Florida will have Bama, Auburn, LSU and Tennessee in their 12 rotating opponents, and therefore, will probably play two of those each year, plus UGA, so they will play 3 "Big Six" opponents every year, not two.
LSU will probably play either three or two "Big Six" opponents every year, given the rotation.
The problem you are imagining simply doesn't exist, because this new scheduling system gets you playing everyone.

Obviously, each of the Big XII rejects gets a forced SEC rivalry. They should have just played each other.

Ole Miss as our 3rd?? Don't hate it.
Oxford was hella fun.
Since I live in North Texas, I can dig Oklahoma.

Everyone's schedule is going to be pretty damn hard.

LSU fan here, I am very happy with Ole Miss, Aggy, and Piggy!

I would have rather had Moo State and sent ATM to OU instead. Still wish we could have kept either Aubie or Florida but overall looks good. Guess we will go back to the Battle of the Boot to end our season annually.

Bama/LSU is a johnny come lately rivalry simply due to 1)both being in the west and 2)both being really good over the last 15 years.
What?
LSU is Bama's 3rd most played series behind only State and Tennessee at 88 games. That doesn't happen over the course of just 15 years.

Personally, I'm happy Bama keeps our 2 actual rival games, plus this new format means every kid starting at one of the schools next year is going to get to see every other SEC team come into their home stadium before they graduate. I think that's pretty cool.

Agreed. Glad to keep UT and bring back State.

I like it. I wanted some new traditions to start with this realignment. I know it's just for 4 years (as of now), but I can see this one becoming interesting with the fan interaction between the two schools.
And I'm mostly speaking from experiences outside the Rant. While it has its charms, this site is not the reality most fans live in and not how people act in the real world...for the most part.

No Florida or Georgia for Tennessee is no bueno.

Ya got me! Transsouri was the crown jewel of conference realignment.

List is mostly crap. Florida and Tennessee need to be permanents. We and Vanderbilt can go to permanents so Florida and Tennessee can be permanents.
