He and Terry better hit the transfer portal HARD this summer. Yall's recruiting class is ranked 99th right now.

They should at least dock his pay. Ray Tanner should have his name removed from the field because of Pawl’s contract. It will take 5+ years after Mainieri leaves for the program to sniff relevancy again. It’s really a shame what they’ve done in Columbia and no one is being held accountable.

The dogshit recruiting class is the fault of the guy who also has to fix it.

SC baseball is on life support until this douchebag is shipped back to Louisiana.

Different circumstances obviously, and certainly a different point in his coaching career, but Year2 was the year PM really finally got LSU going.

Y'all are literally paying a guy to get a nicer retirement home.

The buyout for all three is 5.4 million. That drops to 3.5 million at the end of next year. Still lot of money.

I really don't know what SC was expecting here... yes he was a good coach in his heyday but that passed literally over a decade ago and he was forced into retirement while in terrible medical shape.

I don't know how anyone could have looked at him as the answer to REVIVE a program

Is there an athletic program in America who has failed to capitalize on major accomplishments less than South Carolina?

Back-to-back National Titles in baseball and about a decade later they’ve now only made one Super Regional Appearance in the last six tournaments.

Basketball Final Four in 2017 and zero NCAA Tournament wins since.

Just major missed opportunities.

Arkansas fricked them pretty bad in 2012 then the weather got them extra good against the National Guard (Kent State) otherwise they might have been looking at the first 3 peat since USC won 5 straight to start the 70s

Maybe the game will slow down for 'ole Paul and the players won't be so athletic

I’m surprised he didn’t work to negotiate a lower but immediate buyout and head back to retirement. Pawl is locked in on the full 7 million

I would looking to see who might be worth picking up off the SC roster. A couple of promising young hitters but that's about it.

You assuming Petry (obvious one), Hall and Kaczmar all done?
