Their class wasn’t that great (it’ll still be top 10 nationally but there’s a big gap between Vandy/LSU/Tennessee/Miss St/Texas and their class).

I can’t believe I forgot about Evan’s in the pen as a freshman, it’s a probably because he’s still here.

Speaking of Logan Schmidt one thing I hope plays in LSU’s favor (knock on wood) is the slightly less wear and tear from reclassifying. As many have mentioned we absolutely cannot pencil him in as a starter but the bullpen had a big need for lefties.
Here’s to hoping he can find a role similar to Ott (09), Hess (17), Shores (23).

Hopefully not. There are younger players on this roster with much more upside. Simpson’s only way to the field was his power last year and in more than 60 bats only managed 1.

It’s part of the reason he went 5 is becusee they knew he was ok with that number. Had he not he would of slide maybe to the early teens and gotten a similar number.

Primetime is always the coveted TV spot. It’s not like all top 25 teams can play during the same time anyways.

Someone close to him said days ago he was forgoing the draft (but never took his name out). Just because someone gets picked in rounds 11-20 does not mean they were on the phone and worked out a deal before getting selected.
