History dictates that we are a blue blood. Sorry if reality upsets you.

You didn’t want to join the SEC if you wanted to hang your cowboy hat on being a “historic blue blood”. In 10 years your going to look a lot more like Tennessee and Nebraska as a blue blood then where you think you are. Welcome to the house of pain. There is no hiding in this conference from tough games.

Sorry, but the Georgia-Florida game is much bigger, meaner, and the setting on the river and next to the ocean is oh, soooooooo much prettier than ugly Dull-arse, Texas.

We need this Pod:
Florida, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma

Plus 2 Perm:
Florida: Auburn, SC
Georgia: Auburn, SC
TX: A&M, Arkansas
OU: A&M, Arkansas

Then Rotate 4/10 and play each cycle in 5 years.

Why isn't the game played out of Texas? Shouldn't it be in Arkansas or something?

And yet it's still less exciting than Alabama vs Auburn. Hell, it's not even as good to the average fan as LSU vs Florida, and that's a manufactured rivalry. It might help if Texas was good, but... they're not.

That would make an awesome Jefferson Pilot Sports 11am game back in the day.

But seriously, the SEC has bigger games than that on a weekly basis

Yes, SEC'rs, you will now understand what a unique rivalry OU Texas is. So big, so dominant

It's so big so dominate that it ranked by most sites at best the (4th) best rivalry game behind

Army vs Navy
Ohio State vs Michigan
Alabama vs Auburn

and in most cases it's behind

Notre Dame vs USC
Georgia vs Florida

Nobody outside of your dying conference and your delusional fanbases care about the RRS. It's just another "rivalry" game that has really lost its luster since it's so one sided the past decade plus.

So, how Oklahoma feels towards Texas?

A&M vs tu is a way bigger game because it divides families, is at the end of the season, and takes place at each other’s home fields 90 miles away from each other which on a Texans scale is practically nextdoor.

No. Just, no. If it makes you feel better, believe that. But OU is the rival. Aggy is a good game to win, but...1/10th as important.

What date did you cherry pick for this?
7-9 over 16 RRS.
15-16-1 over 32 RRS.

The difference is going to be, especially on the road you won't just show up and get automatic wins. You will be playing better teams in places that give a damn about their football.

You won't be in Kansas any more. When you're in Starkvegas and they're pretty good, and those cowbells make you deaf, or Baton Rouge on a Saturday Night and they're calling you things you never heard of...

YOU KNOW College Station will be a hatefest for The Steers unlike anything they've seen. especially the first time. Those genteel drunks in Oxford when you score and score but so do they...

The Hogs are better and Missouri can be trouble. God help you in TTown with that 100K stadium. Auburn..those people are psychos and it is a hard place to win at. Athens and The Swamp....Tennessee when they are good. South Carolina is a very place to play.

UK is better and can be a hard place to play at....Vandy..well LOL. You boys are going to learn...the hard way. SEC venues are NOT what you
re used to.

This is probably in the 7th or 8th range of rivalrys in college football. Played at 11am. I am usually cutting grass at that time. Meaningless to the rest of the country. You're too high on yourselves.

there are people here who NEARLY don't care what happens with the entire season , SO LONG AS WE BEAT TEXAS
Plenty of bama/AU fans were like that once upon a time... then bama got good again.

OU/t.u. are butt buddies pretending to be rivals.

It's adorable.

The conference championship being a repeat game takes away some of the shine tbh. Although that didn't matter in 2008 when we won but still got screwed out of the title game.

I always thought Texas was a good school until this happened and I realized that they can’t comprehend the idea of a three way tie.

Texas vs OU will be the biggest SEC rivalry on day one.

The other SEC rivalries just don’t have a National pull.

2011-2020
8-3 over 10 RRS

Whose cherry picking to make their argument? Looks like it was you. But like i said nobody outside of your "conference" and fans care about your rivalry. I didn't even care enough to look up the stats before my original post. I pulled a decade out of my arse...turns out i was right.
