The offense was such a shocking disappointment that no one saw coming and the defense was surprisingly SEC ready most games …my assessment this year of the SEC having watched all of OU’s conference games…it was a little hard to decipher because of how hard the offense fell off , but , I’d rank Texas as the most complete team on both sides of the ball …

Breaking news- Jackson Arnold to enter the portal….this is not a surprise..the expectation is that new OC from Washington State will bring their qb with them and we just flipped a 3 star guy to OU

Texas is the most complete team in the country with the best defense. If they don’t win it all it’s a missed opportunity.

Was it Arnold or his OC and OL?

I’d agree with this. But, closing out the #1 class in the country along with some portal DL heading our way helps keep the window open.

I had high hopes for JA initially but TBH he did poorly against weak OOC schedule. The last 2 games they finally got him to quit fumbling so much and that was improvement. But he was slow to decide slow to throw

He can improve but he should have been better after sitting a year behind Gabriel

Best wishes for him. The kid never got a break. 3 OCs, an Oline playing on roller skates, a walkon freshman as his best receiver primarily because he wasn't in a cast, RBs who never played more than 3 snaps in a row, RBs to whom pass protection was still an untried theory, a HC that would run out the clock with time and timeouts left and got benched in favor a guy who looked like he was playing because he won a drawing. He will be hard pressed to find a worst situation.

You’re an Ohio State fan. Right ?

They are the #5 class at the two leading recruiting sources, On3 and 247

Howard is OK. It is playcalling that's holding us back.

I'm not sold. They have 0 wins against top25 teams. A&M is their best win and they only score 17 points. Which was also one of A&M's better defensive performances.

Even worse offensively when you consider how A&M managed to get the 7.

Defensively they look good, but then it goes back to they haven't played much of anyone. Georgia put up 30 on them even while Beck turned the ball over like 3 times.

Which is not bad, but when you combine that with their offense that struggles to score more than 20, I'm still waiting for this complete team to show.

We'll see if they've really improved since Georgia this weekend. I'm not a buyer in Texas right now though.

You can count on the fingers of one hand the number of good drives he had in 24. The 12/3 TD/INT ratio looks good until you factor in the fumbles (missouri fans should send him a thank you note for that win).

We really wanted him to be good, a 5-star for goodness sakes but there were too many cards stacked against him. Heck, Tom Brady could not have bailed out the 24 Sooner offense.

Anyway, I guess Oklahoma goes into a bowl game with Hawkins and Thompson at QB.No way Sooners will be favored. I'd give the points and take the under.

I 100% blame the coaching staff on JA's performance this year ... and last.
Seth Littrell almost ruined this kid in the bowl game last year. Terrible coaching all around.

I suspect JA will go somewhere else and do very well.

We've already been through the cautionary tale of hanging your hopes and dreams on a 5* but otherwise unproven QB.

Remember the 2009 National Championship game vs Bama? 5* Garrett Gilbert came in for Colt McCoy and played as well as can be expected under the circumstances, and it was clear Mack had him tabbed as the next star Longhorn QB because he didn't bother recruiting any other elite QB's.

Welp, you know how that story ended...he played his last year at SMU with decent results (for him) but set the stage for a decade of mediocrity for us and the rise of your very own gooners as the class of the Big12. Huge mistake letting Gabriel get away so easily, ya'll could have used him while Arnold played sparingly while learning.

Don't be shocked if he goes elsewhere and gets in the Heisman convo by the '26 season.

Wouldn't be surprised if he wound up somewhere like Auburn.

Arnold is Mizzou bound.

He’s going to lead the Tigers into Norman and humiliate you next year. Can’t wait!
