Brian Kelly was a fraud and couldnt win the big game. You can ask any LSU fan....did we ND fans ever cry like Ole Miss fans are crying about stealing Kiffin?....Nope...in fact...LSU fans will even tell you Notre Dame fans warned them about Kelly not being able to win the big games...hell, we never tried to match the offer LSU gave to Brian Kelly and I would have drove him to the airport myself to leave town. Ole Miss fans need to let this go and LSU fans need to let this go and lets see what happens next year.....frick it.

I think something important to note here is the trajectory of each coach at the time of departure. I would like to have seen ND fans’ reaction if LSU had hired away Brian Kelly right before that Natty game vs Alabama.
They would have been irate. One could even say the Tide got Teo’d after ND catfished their arse and didn’t even bother to show up.

I think ND was 5th in the nation and would have been easily in an expanded playoff when Kelly left. It was a good hire at the time and he did pretty good his first year, it's just unfortunate that he decided to retire on the job. Lane is in a completely different part of his career.
