To be competitive in the SEC today, programs like Ole Miss have to stack the Offensive side of the ball. Look at Vandy the last few years, they played decent Defense but got very little press for it. Ole Miss has lost two games by giving up over 600 yards per game and they are the talk of College Football this week.

Kiffin is a little better recruiter/talent evaluator than Matt Luke. He’s going to have a much easier time recruiting than Matt Luke. If Kiffin can get us to just middle of the pack top 30ish defense it’s over for the SEC.

We are on pace to break UConn’s record from a few years ago ??. Has there ever been a top five offense and last in the nation defense before?

One of those big 12 teams from 2009-2015 should have this on lock

Ole Miss hasn't recruited anybody on defense in three years.

I could see a Texas Tech team having that title.

Defense is always the last part of a team to come back after sanctions. The depth just isn’t there.

It's a definitely a personnel issue, but my question would be how soon can you get difference makers in there? Their current recruiting class is not really anything different from what it's always been on the defensive side of the ball.

I guess OM will probably be a team that benefits next year from everybody getting an extra year of eligibility, because there aren't really any NFL prospects on that defense so they could get everybody back and maybe that helps in 2021. But that doesn't do you any good this year.

Offensively they are great, but the defense will cost them a game or two they aren't currently expecting to lose. Possibly as soon as this Saturday in Fayetteville.

Our average will improve by 30-40 yards in one game once we get the pleasure of playing the Pirate and Co at the end of the season.

Loving all the sudden interest (aka fear) in Ole Miss.

So much impending butthurt in the coming years.

LSU isn't much better. Gave up 630+ yards in 2 out of 3 games. Still haven't faced Bama or Florida.

Ole Miss has 3 4* players on the defensive side of the ball. Two were JUCO transfers and the other one was on his way to a terrific career at CB when he blew his knee out. We've moved him to safety where he's starting but he's not the same player.

We did sign a 4* DT but he is currently the back-up LG. Matt Luke missed on every major HS recruit defensively.

Fear? You guys are one missed extra point away from being 0-3.

Franks about to break Costello’s passing record this written.
