re: What do you say to someone who is dying? - Lock,Stock
Stuff usually doesn't get to me on here but this post struck a chord. I would 100% cry if I had to talk to him in your position. Just hang out with him and try to have fun. Tell him how much he means to you. Tell him how he impacted your life. ...

re: Where to go in the US as a conservative person that wants to left alone? - Lock,Stock
Basically any place in small town or rural America. Just stay away from big cities, it isn’t that complicated. Get your family some land and build. ...

re: Moving to Reno - Lock,Stock
Reno is a weird place. Hard to describe the culture there. It’s a strange mix of junkies, gamblers, and cowboys in my experience. Yes, Tahoe is close but you can find better places out west. I would suggest Bend, Oregon or several places in Idaho if you like relatively inexpensive outdoors hubs. Chi...

re: Did anyone ever shed a gimmick career better than Mark Whalberg - Lock,Stock
I liked him in The Departed and in The Fighter. Not much else. In those roles though, he’s basically playing something he’s familiar with because of the Boston connection. Seemed more natural.
Boogie Nights?!? That is a classic. ...

re: Crocodile Bites 6-Year-Old Boy's Head, Drags Him Underwater Near Beach In Mexico - Lock,Stock
This might be my imagination running wild but I could have sworn I saw a salt water croc on the beaches near Biloxi when I was a kid. I remember people talking about it too. Maybe that was BS to scare a kid but it is possible given they have been found in Florida. ...

re: Scary/creepy ocean stories? - Lock,Stock
I've seen very large sharks (estimated 10ft plus - guessing Bull sharks) circling swimmers who have no idea they are there. I observed this from a 16 story balcony in Perdido Key. Luckily the sharks eventually lost interest but holy shite I thought I was going to witness a attack for awhile there. ...

re: SEC Ranking the SEC's defensive play-callers for 2020 - Lock,Stock
I'd argue that Durkin is top 5 in the league, maybe even top 3. No idea how they ranked him at 14, that's a joke. ...

re: Lafayette people. What's the story with the Mouton statue? - Lock,Stock
He was a confederate general and from what I've read a POS to people he considered "lesser". "These committees targeted free blacks, poor whites, and anyone who challenged the status quo of "contemporary concepts of white superiority," according to the book "Acadian to Cajun: Transformation of a...

re: No way Ole Miss survives the great awokening... right? - Lock,Stock
There is actually no evidence that the nickname "Ole Miss" derives from a racist origin. It very well might, not debating that, but there is no proof of that. I've heard people say it refers to the Mississippi River, aka the "ole Mississippi."...

re: Kids - Lock,Stock
The pure love that you have for your children overcomes any con on your list. You can't truly understand that unless you have one. You sound like an extremely selfish person who isn't even close to being ready to have one, if you choose that route, so please don't. ...
