It was a joke to a joke of a comment. Relax.

It sucks for the kid. I said that in another post. I hate what college sports have become.

If it were my kid that was comfortable with going to the University of Iowa for medical visits, I would not want my kid with brain cancer living out of state in...Mississippi.

That kid needed to be close to his family and to that university.

We know Ole Miss has enjoyed a relationship with this kid for over a handful of years. We also know the kid has had cancer for years. It seems fishy people are speculating that his cancer is why Ole Miss told him to hit the road at the last minute

Article said they felt something was up when ole miss had coaches at his games the week before the call came.

AKA oh crap I have been throwing up 17 times a day and I am committed to playing catcher for those guys sitting right over there but right now I cannot even throw the ball to second because I am too weak to throw.

More than likely those coaches told him they will keep him but they are unfit to deal with his brain issue so he should probably look at Iowa where he can have 100% support behind him.

This could blow up and be a PR nightmare for Ole Miss! You love to see it!

During that call, Brett was informed that the Rebels were rescinding his scholarship.

I am not sure why Ole Miss doing something like this would surprise anyone. Remember them sending out emails asking doners to add the University to their wills just when COVID was kicking off?

I have no idea how true this is - but the Ole Miss On3 and 247 sites are reporting that Ole Miss wanted to honor the baseball scholarship and asked the NCAA for a waiver allowing it to not count against scholarship / roster limits for baseball.

NCAA said no so Ole Miss decided it couldn't waste the roster spot on a guy they didn't think could medically play. I guess Iowa thinks he can still play.

I'm with you. I highly doubt Bianco did a kid like this. There is more to what happened. Has to be.
