Away at LSU, Texas, Ole Miss, Auburn and Missouri? They’re taking at least 3 Ls from those games alone.

Thanks for letting us know. We've only been doing this for over a century.

When Mizzou arrived in the SEC over a decade ago I thought the SEC was overrated. I based that on September results and Bowl games, and probably a little Big 12 bias. What I didn't realize until Mizzou played a few seasons in the SEC is that the SEC is tougher for two big reasons. One, the talent level is much higher. All you have to to do is look at the NFL draft and recruiting rankings to know the SEC talent level is higher than the rest of the country. The second is how fanatical SEC fans are. Yes Texas and Oklahoma are great programs; however in the Big 12 they rarely line up against teams with their talent level and their fan base support. In the SEC that is called a fall Saturday. The grind of playing against the high level talent and playing in places with such rabid fans is a gauntlet. I found many of what I thought were good metrics are misleading. September football is not a good indicator because many teams are still figuring out who they are. Mizzou only beat Middle Tennessee by 4 this year yet went 6-2 in the SEC. If Mizzou had played Middle Tennessee in October I believe they would have crushed them. Bowls are a bad indicator because who knows what players show up and how motivated a team is. No, the only way to understand the SEC is to play a SEC schedule. In 2024 OU and Texas get to find out. Good luck!

OU will not lose to Tenn or Ole Miss . Unless LSU gets a qb it’s going to be hard to not to call that a win . All the road games are hard so it’s no gimme game. Bama will be lucky to leave Norman with a win . Could we lose four games yes very possible . I personally think it may look bad early but once Jackson Arnold gets going OU might be a hard team to beat .
OU will have sos member 1 or 2 in the country . Lots of good quality wins if we can win them . Venables has been preparing the team for this moment . Still don’t have the depth but it’s improving. .

I give a shite. I literally ready this and then went to take a shite. Better than a coffee and early morning cigarette...if you know, you know.

Ole Miss will absolutely be handing Oklahoma a L. We've won 21 of our last 23 games in the Vaught. All of our talent will be returning (Tre Harris hasn't announced yet) and Lane will be snagging some immediate impact players in the Portal again this year. We'll be looking at going 11-1 in the regular season next year.

I love this stuff. You have both of the stock SEC excuses in one post. The "we would kill them if we played them now".... AND "didn't wanna be there" regarding bowl games.
In other words, there is no way a team outside of the SEC can beat an SEC team in a legitimate fashion outside of a playoff game. Early season games don't count, bowl games don't count.
This thinking of course, works pretty well because the top echelon SEC teams always do really well against outside competition in the playoff, and the rest of the SEC doesn't have to be accountable for non conference losses.

Fun fact, Ole Miss is undefeated vs Oklahoma and our streak will continue next year too.

Unless LSU gets a QB? You know nothing about the QB situation at LSU. Nussmeier is going to torch the shite out of your pathetic defense.

So because schools like South Carolina, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Mississippi State take consistent whippings from the likes of Alabama, Georgia and LSU, they're automatically better than Texas Tech, Kansas State, West Virginia and other mid-tier programs from a different conference?
Believe it or not, those stadiums are also packed with people watching their plenty-motivated student athletes compete. It's not like the SEC has some secret potion that other conferences don't have
Some of y'all get on your knees and bow down to this conference at every opportunity. It's spineless and honestly just embarrassing

This isn't a Big 12 Missouri program anymore. Missouri is built like a good SEC team. OU will have to earn it in Columbia.

You’re a better man than me. I don’t even spend money to go to a game down the road here in Columbia.

Auburn very rarely loses big games at home FYI. And with Bama and Georgia on the road next season, you’re our biggest game. Be forewarned.

I think the Bama / Texas road games are a nightmare on any schedule... but let's not act like Clemson is anything like they used to be. Also, Kentucky can't be used to justify SOS either
