Hard to see Oklahoma doing much better than 4-4 in the conference next year.

Probable losses: Alabama, At LSU
Really tough games: Texas (only not probable loss because rivalry game), At Ole Miss, At Mizzou, Tennessee, At Auburn
Only relatively easy game: South Carolina.

Even if Mizzou and Ole Miss take a step back next year, it is just as likely Tennessee and Auburn rebound. Maybe even South Carolina rebounds.

As Texas got a relatively easy transition schedule, who did OU piss off? Or conversely who did Texas pay off?

We're going to stink next year. Still making the trip out to Norman though.

The only thing that is “suspect” is OU’s team next year.

It will toughen us up for sure. Better to start hard we’ll be able to learn and improve in year 2. Tx having easy schedule will give them false assumptions.

Similar to OU and USCw first season new coaches. OU was 6-7 and everyone claimed BV a failure even doing a comllete rebuild. While same folks claimed USCw was great and would be playoffs better in year 2. Well year 2 and OU went 10-2 and USCw went 7-5, complete flip. Same will happen in SEC, tx will think its easy peasy due to schedule then bam, 2025 schedule hits and they do worse.

What I like is all the assuming OU will finish 4-4, so if we do better its going to be a wow moment to those posters.

The only toss up games are BAMA, @ LSU, and @ Auburn

We own Missouri
We own Texas
South Carolina, Tennessee, and Ole Miss don’t have the horses to beat us.

6-2 minimum, probably 7-1

Arkansas and A&M wanted home games with Texas, so the SEC obliged. Playing Oklahoma and Georgia back to back is going to be challenging.

8-4 would be respectable first year

Tennessee absolutely has the horses to compete with ou. The sec has several teams Oklahoma has wanted no part of since the bcs era began. Honestly ou conference champ vs other P5 champs in title/playoff games is sad. You guys normally play neutral site texas(awful since mack left outside a year or two) and a g5 schedule. Blasted by Florida, blasted by usc, beaten by lsu blasted by clemson blasted by bama beaten by uga. You guys are in for an awakening

Is that why Sanky was angry at ESPN leaking the schedule before he wanted it released?

I am just angry we don't play our traditional LSU, Alabama and Auburn because of those interlopers. NIL and transfer portal sucked enough now we get shifted out of our traditional games.

That record is reserved for only one SEC team.
