Rudy was a so so movie, and even my grandparents don't remember the 4 horsemen, the Gipper or any other bullshite Domer fairy tales.
It's time to start treating ND like any other CFB program instead of some sort of royalty. I mean, the playoff committee leaving them out is a good start, but this isn't the norm.

IDK why any of you are bitching about this, it will become a thing.
Florida State should have declined the Orange Bowl bid when their starters opted out.
Look how that one turned out for them.
Maybe instead of schools begging for a bid the bowls will have to sweeten the pot to entice teams to come play.

You can't have your cake and eat it too. FSU fans always defended their 1 loss team getting in over undefeated WVU because WVU got blown out in their bowl game.

The non-playoff bowls should have never made it. And that goes with the playoff now, the 4 team playoff, and the BCS.
If you don’t make the playoff, take your a$$ home, don’t embarrass yourself with participation trophies.

Respectfully, I disagree.
If this is how the program handles “adversity” … parents and coaches need to think twice before sending their kids there.
Life’s too short for that kind of petty.
Many of those young men won’t play NFL ball; they’ll never get these games back.
Opting out because of pure sour-grapes … awful sportsmanship that they’ll end up regretting.
