There are certain teams that older ESPN analysts want to win so bad. Notre Dame is one of them. Notre Dame gets a 50 yard gain, it's the best thing since bread. Notre Dame blows up QB after pass, it barely gets recognized. UGA pulls facemask slightly, 3 people talk about it for 75 seconds.
Other teams who older ESPN analysts want to win so bad out of bias: Texas, Boise St (for the David and Goliath aspect like March Madness 14 seeds), Miami, Penn St.
In a sense, it's a yearning for their childhood when you got to core of it. Yet all these teams can't win the big games.
