They definitely get NIL money in some way though. Because a lot of international tennis players were in the transfer portal this year looking for larger pay days.

Like Auburn's #1 player from Tajikistan comes from a poor family, so he wanted to get as much NIL money as he could and Texas A&M was willing to pay a lot so he went there
LSU is also bringing in American blue chip recruit next year Nikolas Stoot from Miami
Yeah no problem lol. This is actually pretty common for tennis. Most top teams bring in really good international players, more than American players. So LSU is definitely not alone in this in tennis, but might be more unique in basketball.

So basketball, starting to do it, actually just mirrors what tennis has been doing for a long time.
Brought in pros from Belarus and Poland last year. Maybe Wade learned from Coach Bryan
Clemson vs Auburn is so boring.
23 year old from Belarus and 22 year old from Egypt. Both have UTRs above 13.6 and have had ATP rankings near the top 600.

Daniil Ostapenkov

Michael Bassem Sobhy
Yeah, the Texas vs Virginia national title match had only 2 Americans among the 12 singles starters. 1 for each team
For the LSU fans who were making fun of A&M men’s tennis yesterday for spending on transfer targets.. LSU making even more shady moves.

crazy how both years Texas won they were super close to losing in the super regionals
wish this was still a 1 run game for the drama and to give Kavan more of a hero finish
No not a good analogy at all really. Arkansas has long been a baseball power who has never gotten over the hump. Texas Tech has been a softball power for exactly two years and been to the finals twice.
damn this messes up the drama for the bottom of the 7th
I agree. It’s not even recruiting your own players. Just picking off the best from not as rich schools. Laziest way of coaching, and I’ve heard the A&M coaches are on the lazier side in recent years
I mean I hope you aren’t seriously suggesting tennis isn’t a sport or some crap. Look at the French open, matches were going 5 hours in the heat. One of the most fit and skillfull sports in the world. Also one of the hardest to go pro in because you have to be in the top 100-200 in the world to make decent money
You do know Texas was just in the national title match in men’s tennis this year right? Lost to Virginia.

Y’all are also some of the biggest spenders on tennis
It hasnt. They had a pretty expensive roster this year and crashed out in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament. Got dominated by Stanford on their own courts.

Next year they must do better than that with the investment
Trying to join the women in being national title contenders. The #1 players from Arizona State, Auburn and UNLV all joining A&M from the portal.

Added to a roster that will return its top 4 players. A&M going all out next year with a big budget in tennis.
Dumb baserunning for A&M
Yes just an objectively better song
What happened to her? She was basically unhittable at Stanford and last year but every time I turn it on this year, they are teeing off on her
