Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee: Opossums
Kentucky: Raccoons

We have a veritable smorgasbord down here of possum, armadillo, raccoon and the occasional deer.

Alabama has fewer possum roadkills now that armadillos are here. The possums send them out to check for oncoming traffic.

Add Deer to Georgia. Two months ago I basically saw a deer off itself a couple cars ahead of me. Thing went spinning and flew into a ditch alongside the road.

It's everything up here, but deer for sure. I've hit a couple myself.

In Norman I used to ride bicycles with the local club/racing team (Canadian River Racing Club). After every spring and summer we would pick out the most frequent roadkill we saw that year and kind of name the year Chinese style.
Year of the Possum, Year of the Armadillo depending on what we saw that summer. One year there were tarantulas all over the road for a good bit.

There’s no roadkill in Louisiana. Plenty of trash but no roadkill that shite is in a pot at somebody’s house.
