UNC, FSU, Clemson, UVA. That's 20 schools.

Two divisions:

A&M, uta, OU, Arkansas, Missou, LSU, Ole Miss, State, Auburn, Alabama

UT, Vandy, UNC, FSU, UF, USC, Clemson, UVA, UGA, UK

I'd rather have Miami than FSU.

When ATM goes to the Big 10, we’ll have room for one more

Not that I like the direction conference alignment has gone at all but would be a huge victory for the SEC. Give me UVA too and call it a day. PLEASE.

It really wouldnt be. Nothing about UNC is SEC. They dont give a shite about football, they are a very wine and cheese crowd. It would be an awful move.

Bring on UNC. Would love to have them. Flagship of Carolina. Great basketball, baseball, Olympic sports. Solid/Good football.

Yep. Big10 has already decided to raid the Pac12 so SEC needs to go after east coast to catch up.

Let’s add UVA, UNC, Clemson and VT to SEC and have a conference only regular season schedule. Big 10 vs SEC conference playoffs. Boom there’s your college Football that mirrors the NFL model.

North Carolina has finished ranked in the AP poll twice in the last 27 seasons… not once in the Top 10.

They do not have “solid/good” football.

It’s painfully apparent to me this is where the game is headed. I don’t like it, but if that’s the game UNC is obviously a school you want to target. New market, big brand, and will compete in everything.

This might be the least shocking breaking news that I've ever read.

After UNC, FSU is the next domino. If the B1G pursues FSU, do they head that way? I could see it. Especially if that could finally pressure Notre Dame into joining the B1G.

I don't mean to be an arse to my South Carolina bros, but y'all might sort of lack objectivity when it comes to UNC or Clemson. I'm not suggesting that UNC is some football juggernaut, but we're playing a zero-sum game with the B1G whether we like it or not, and there are only a few obvious expansion candidates left out there. UNC is one of them.

We shouldn't do this at all.

But if we have to, go after Duke. Preserve the rivalries.

The rant’s overall order of druthers on this subject:

1. Retract back down to 12
2. Don’t expand at all. Stop all other bullet list items. But $ rules so only go after football programs since they will do it anyway.
3. If you have to expand, add Clemson and FSU.
4. Then VT and Miami. And go to two 10 team divisions of old sec vs new blood. Please stop here. But leagues make bad decisions.
5. Then UNC and VA.
6. And at the arse end of the wants list is….since you added FSU and Clemson, add GT and Louisville so Rivalry Week will be an all SEC event and they take a beating all year even though the SEC IS currently watered down like a coors light.

No. You don’t know shite.

Don’t add kids from the north.

Retract back down to 12 or even 10.

We always went in the wrong direction. Should've added UNC, Clemson, FSU, and UVA instead of Aggie, Texas, OU, and Missouri. Wouldve kept the conference southern and eastern. Instead we added two programs that bring nothing (Aggie and Mizzou) and two programs that arent even eastern and are barely southern (OU and Texas).

I feel like this is a leak just to gwt the B1G to offer UNC before the SEC does.

Should have asked OU and Clemson and stopped at 14. But should have never expanded.

The best was a healthy big east, ACC, big12, sec, big 10 and pac.

Once college football realizes it needs regional rivalries again, I hope they could get back to that.
