No participation trophies from me, Lane made the right decision…

“Oh, Ole Miss made such a great run. They had so much heart. They came together as a team. They are family. Their coach left and they bonded together. There’s a rainbow in the sky this morning, love love love love love blah blah blah.”
It would have been a great story. It’s over now, and you didn’t win it all. At the end of the day, it would have been a real frick you to Lane. But, you fell short. 3rd place isn’t an accomplishment. They don’t hang 3rd place banners. No one remembers who got 3rd place in 2018.
Lane made the right decision. The team didn’t have what it takes to win a championship. Now, he’s in a better place with a top 10ish tradition, and he doesn't live in Mississippi anymore.

I’m sure Kiff will do good at LSU, but Ole Miss program is flat out rolling and he could have done the same at Ole Miss

Almost everything you stated is objectively factual….although there isn’t anything -ish about LSU’s football tradition in modern college football…it’s easily Top 10 and easily a Blue Blood…congratulations Lane and congratulations LSU fans, you will be the top program in the SEC in very short order

Everyone’s going to be brought back down to reality fairly quickly in Oxford. I like Pete, but I just don’t know if that’s the right call.

Ole Miss was the last SEC team standing and we beat every SEC team we played this year.
All the SEC talent is spread out now.
Each year is going to be crazy on who makes it to postseason. Gonna be a lot of fun.
I mean hell LSU has lost like 5 or 6 games per season the past couple of years and they have had solid talent.
It takes good fortune along with good coaching and players.
Who would have thought LSU would lose so many games this year? Not me. Last year either. Except for the bottom feeders all the SEC programs are about equal
