I never said they weren’t comparable. You said they have better overall accommodations than they would at a hotel, which simply isn’t true. Now you are back tracking because you realize how stupid that sounds.

Why did it have to be the dorms? Doesn’t UK have any hotels on campus or luxury “dorms” or something that isn’t a modular style dorm with a twin XL?

Weezer is playing Saturday in Lexington. Everything is sold out.

Hell, Auburn had to stay an hour and a half away last year when our bunch played in Corvallis. Staying in dorms on campus should not be a problem.

Who knew Country Roads was a school full of divas?

In fairness, Lexington doesn't have enough hotel rooms for Keeneland, the Rolex, Boys & Girls Sweet 16, and a host of other events throughout the year.
It's a great midsized city with lots of unique stuff around town (distilleries, horse farms, restaurants, etc.). It's also pretty affordable. So it's a popular destination and this isn't really uncommon.
We put in a bid that included housing. The NCAA knew what it was getting. The only hubbub is from internet travel agents.
And if any IU or Ball State fans are on the thread, I've got a spare bedroom and live 5 min from the ballpark.
The WVU divas can stay over in Looovl.

You’re hung up on a player sleeping in a twin sized bed when they’re going to have better accommodations overall than they’d have at the La Quinta.

Just going to leave this here…

Hope these guys don’t have any dreams of playing professional ball. The minor league lifestyle will send these boys crying to their mamas!

Nah, they’ll be fine. The Kentucky fans in here claiming that they were getting put up in dorms that are nicer than hotels was funny though

I don’t like it bc it makes our conference look cheap smh

nation of pussies, and you're one of them

Lol they have 1 pillow, 1 blanket, no mattress topper, no tv, and air conditioning that is struggling to work. It’s hilarious that Kentucky got criticized for this all week and still managed to frick it up.

Funny that a Tweet is from WVU staff. They were supposed to be staying in Louisville. I haven’t seen any of the Ball State or Indiana folks complain.

It's not ideal of course, but if the original poster had bothered to fricking read it would be clear and less snarky/dumb of a post.
