1. "boogs". I hate when Bama fans call our rivals "boogs" or "booger eaters". Makes me feel like I'm back in grade school.

Albarn or barners has been the biggest one.

It is actually comically embarrassing to see Bama fans stand inside their tailgates with actual cages and a corndog on string and giggling like schoolgirls like it's something momumentally funny, when it only makes them look like the buffoons they are......

You seem upset, CORNDOG!

No, actually, I'm laughing hysterically at you -

If you understood the history of the term you'd get it. They hate this term especially the older ones. The implication is that all the UT men stayed home during WW2 sitting on their front porch sipping tea while the Aggies were off fighting Nazis and Japs. There is some truth to this.

I get it, but sitting at home on the front pitch sipping tea sounds a lot better than fighting in a war.

If you weren't you wouldn't have had that mini meltdown.

I'm not from Alabama so I don't fall under your stereotype

Try again.

I'd never heard "guido douchebags" before for Florida. I rather like that one.

Actually I'm fine with you people's decision to make yourself look like total idiots.
I'd much rather smell like an LSU tailgate than an Aubie's idea of a Nebraska/Iowa one - one that is astonishingly glorified by you things -

Ones that wear Detergent Boxes and Toilet Rolls on their fat, ruddy, drunken faces, or in your particular case - a fan of a school that lost several departments after Katrina, has most of its student body hail from upstate New York or New Jersey - and is an embarrassment to college football.

When people call LSU fans corndogs, I can honestly say it means absolutely nothing to me. I has absolutely no bearing or truth behind it to make it feel like it is a dig. If you enjoy it go ahead and use it. I can honestly say I would be just as puzzled if someone walked up to a skinny guy and started yelling "fatso". I think there are better stereotypes to be played upon. I wonder why no one has used " Waterboys" or "Coonasses", those at least would be apt. That is why Gumps and Jorts are so perfect- because they actually reflect the fanbase.

Well if the were cowards and didn't want to fight, than use it to abuse em.

Just about everyone I knew at UA was from the south. We probably had more Asians that people from NY/NJ.

Metry, lighten up Francis. The whole point of this thread is to laugh at the nicknames (and help the sarcasm-challenged fans among us refine their barbs). You're taking this WAYYYY too seriously. If you wore crimson and carried plant killer, I'd swear Harvey Updyke was amongst us.

And to give credit where it's due: while I think "UAT" is weak, I thought one of the wittiest nicknames ever was when the aubs call us "SPUAT" - Scandal Plagued University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa". I think they decided to stop this one after their name became synonymous with purchasing quarterbacks. ;)

a) I have degrees from Alabama and Tulane. I get to root for the best and the worst team in football this year. And I get to be the ultimate anti-LSU fan. So I have that going for me.

b) What does losing departments after Katrina have to do with you getting butt-hurt about someone calling you a corndog? I would think that someone from Metairie would be a litte more sensitive towards those who struggled after the storm. Sounds like you didn't have the grades or the money to get into Tulane, so you now you hate them.

Chill out. Just because you smell like corndogs doesn't mean you can't live a healthy, productive life.

I think "Gumps" is a genius nickname. I actually embrace it. Forrest was damned awesome.
